It is certainly a little confusing to a newbie. Under ‘Opportunities’ there are two Beta Firmware entries. The really comprehensive one just linked back to the dashboard when followed, and the terse three year old one was the one that showed me as having applied and was listed under ‘My Projects’. Yesterday I suddenly got a message saying the new firmware was coming by Friday and I no longer have anything listed under My Projects.

I wouldn’t have thought an NDA would apply to the Beta Firmware, given it is openly advertised and discussed in a public forum.

What? I am just asking if you got the beta firmware. If you signed an NDA that’s another story.

Yes. It is 36.3, which is a change from the 36.2 I was expecting. It arrived at about 4:20pm UK time.

Yeah must have gotten it when i was getting of from work at 6:20 pm Cyprus time. I was just curious as it took its sweet time this time.

Time for some fiddling then

Mine updated in UK about 30 mins ago 36.3

Oh great now all of my devices appear offline…

Ok i turned the hub off for 15 minutes and everything is back online now. The issue i was having was that executing scenes showed that some devices did not execute. Now it seems to work again.

Yup.

Right now I have 1 Zigbee 3.0 smoke detector constantly rejoining every ~15 to 20 minutes. It’s got a new battery and is 15 feet from the hub but still routes 1 other Zigbee device.

EDIT : turns out that device started having issues a few hours prior to the hub update. Other than that, this hub update has been pretty uneventful.

Stock up new batteries. They might start to eat them daily. On/Off switches?

The hub firmware beta is now showing up in Centercode again.

Just FYI:
After this latest update, when I run a Z-Wave repair, most of my Z-Wave devices are now reporting “Failed to update mesh”.
This was not happening before the update.
I’ve already tried to reboot and turn off and on the Hub, and ran at least 3 Z-Wave repairs to validate this.
Note - The Z-Wave devices failing to update mesh are from all types (Remotes/Sensors battery powered to Switches AC connected)

remember to post a bug report on center code

Hi @Kianoosh_Karami something is up. I can’t control anything but all my devices say they’re online. There have been posts already in the community, but it wasn’t happening to me until now. It may not be a hub firmware beta thing, but it’s worth taking a look at.

EDIT @Kianoosh_Karami Centercode bug filed. My event logs are flooded with “Your SmartThings Hub at My Home is now active.”, and I still can’t control anything.

EDIT : looks like some things are working with Smart Lighting, but I can’t control the devices it’s using.

Turn off the hub, wait 15 minutes, turn it back on and try again.

@johnconstantelo Thanks for filing a bug on the centercode. We will take a look immediately.

Thanks, but I’ve already tried that (my mention of Power off and on the hun means I waited the 15 minutes)

Thanks @Kianoosh_Karami something is really messed up. I see no hub events now, at least 15 minutes have gone by. That’s not normal.

I have two hubs. I have problems with control on the non-beta one at the moment. Small sample size and my takeaway has priority.

Update: Takeaway completed and a light that didn’t switch on earlier is now coming on. So I can now see what I just ate.
