Honeywell RTH9580WF is ready
If you’re using Auto mode, the integration will only work with the default deadband of 3 degrees F (or 2 degrees C). If you’ve configured your deadband to be different than that, please sit tight for a little bit while we get that sorted out.
I’m confused. The instructions for my thermostat don’t give an option set/change the deadband. AFAIK, the deadband is set implicitly by entering a heat setpoint that is lower than the cooling setpoint. This DTH appears to offer only one setpoint, so how do I set the cooling/heating dead band? Any advice or clarification is appreciated.

Marketplace/Smartapps/ climate control/honeywell. It’s not the same on iPad vs the iPhone… This is iPad instruction

On an iPhone its marketplace/thigs/climate control/ Honeywell

hope this helps

Doesn’t look like it updated on android. I only see two options under honeywell, Lyric and Z-wave. I’ll try installing on my iPad and see if it’s there.

Still just two options. So weird. Oh well, I’ll just give it sometime to see if it updates.

This is on Android:: Marketplace -> Climate Control -> Thermostats -> Honeywell. I’m using the 9000 and is mostly good (just confused over heating vs. cooling set points).

I am using the same as you, and find the hold to be wrong, at least in my opinion. When you change temp it should be in temporary hold, but it goes into permanent hold disregarding the schedule. In 32 years in climate control that is wrong. If you raise the tmp on the thermostat itself it goes into temp hold unless you click make permanent hold. So the ST app should reflect the operation of the Thermostat.

I only have two options. Looks like I am missing a few options for some reason.

I agree it should go to a temporary hold. I can’t test it right now though as I don’t have the option to add it.

I am not sure they updated Android, but try force quitting ST app then restart phone and start app. Could have just hung up in an update, that is if Android was updated yet.

This is the device I have been using for many months waiting for ST.
Both your device handler and the new ST release provide a button to “follow schedule”. But I don’t see a way to use that as an action in a SmartApp. OTOH, IFTTT has it as an action; so I’m going through the cumbersome process of using IFTTT to resume the schedule (based upon a rule time machine condition). Am I missing something? Is there a better way?

In the device type I was using all I did was hit schedule and it would resume the schedule. I also can do it from IFTTT and Amazon Echo. What bothers me more is that it should never go into permanent hold overriding the schedule. You can try one of the apps in the Market Place, I never used any like Keep Me Kozy etc.

I think something like that would not be allowed as ST is only a interface to the Honeywell cloud. All processing of your Thermostat is done via Honeywell but indirectly. That is why the ST app required your email and password for Honeywell. As you remember Honeywell blocked the external temperature and humidity so it had to be removed from our community device type. So any interface would chances are be blocked. I understand their thinking, if lots of people hit their servers with requests from other apps it is a security problem plus bandwidth problem.

I am unable to add my Thermostat. The process is as follows:
-Add new device
-Climate Control>Thermostats>Honeywell>Honeywell WiFi 9000
-Connect Now (enter creds)
-Creds accepted
-Choose Thermostat…Your Honeywell account is now connected to SmartThings, Click Done
-Hit Next
-Select Thermostat from list and click Done
-An unexpected error occured. (This is on Android)
-iPhone produces same result except the message is "failed to save page: deviceList"
Nothing follows

Log shows this message after the failure: “java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot get property ‘value’ on null object @ line 491”

Can you provide insight to why this is happening?

which thermostat do you have exactly?

This is great - I had been using the Totcal Connect Comfort Smart app that was published previously but had random results. You for sure do not need a zwave or wifi therm with this new capability. All you need is a redlink capable thermostat and a redlink gateway. Previously I purchased a redlink gateway and with this new integration it took all of about 30 seconds to add them through the New TCC smart app and using @slagle thermostat director things are working perfectly. Here is a link to the redlink compatible devices

I wish it was that simple 2 of my 3 work. As I have one with less capabilities and it throws an error on adding it.

Which model is not working for you, is the model on the link I add above ^^^^? I also noticed that I have a less capable thermostat but it is connected through the wireless adapter, add that to your Redlink and you may have better results

Copy what you have now and put in a support ticket. They got back to me within an hour. And yes the 9000 is for all in the 9000 series.

You can try something that works for some people. After you get to select thermostat go back not done then look for thing not set up and try to continue from there.
