Honeywell RTH9580WF is ready

I have two THX9421R5013 At a quick glance these seem to work quite well the only issue was the
canceling of the hold and returning to following schedule seems to do
nothing.

The non working one is is a TH6320R1004.
Fails with:
Cannot get property ‘allowedModes’ on null object @ line 491

They are all conencted via redlink and working fine from the actual honeywell app.

The less optioned one seems to be failing on missing capabilities I would guess.

I believe this is because this controls your economizer correct? Based on the original post from @csuk a devices that either controls heat or cool only and not both is not available yet.

It’s a full function thermostat that controls heat and a/c for one of my zones. Only thing it doesn’t do is allow the fan to be controlled remotely from the tcc app. Not supported on that thermostat for some reason. It just isn’t an option in the app.

Did anyone get the issue with it not showing up in marketplace worked out? I am on an iPhone and only have the two options like @nouritta.

Just tried Android too. Same result.

RTH9580WF

The one that this thread is about.

I contacted support, they said they would look into the issue. They were able to duplicate it but don’t know the solution yet.

A few minutes ago I went on my iPhone 6s to the marketplace, keep in mind I already installed the Honeywell 9000 device type, and found it is no longer listed. So either ST pulled it or there is a major problem with the marketplace.

Yep they seem to be gone now as I have just the old two

Does anyone know if ST fixed the problems with the Honeywell 9000 series thermostats, and if yes do we have to uninstall and reinstall?

Try it again seems to be working now for the therms with less features, I have the same model in my attic as you as my third

It is crap compared to the community version I have been supporting and enhancing.
At least for prestige via red link.

  1. Only one temp setting, not separate for heat and cool.
2 no outdoor temps and humidity.
  2. No humidifier or scheduling control
  3. No separate fan control.

I lied and said I had a 9000 when I in fact have 2 - RTH8500D1013/U thermostats ~2 years old but connected to total connect comfort.

It works fine for them I just don’t have a humidity value if the 9000 provide that?

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, this is pretty much garbage. I just blindly updated without looking into it and I just realize that if I’m set to away mode, it changes my heat temperature but not the cooling, what’s the whole point of having both heat and cooling temp setting if it’s not going to change it. So pretty much, my AC would be blasting in the summer if I wasn’t home this whole time… FAIL by ST…

The only true benefit would be quicker status updates for the thermostat. I no longer need to wait 1 hour between updates. Previously I had to use Pollster to update the status but if I did it more than 1 hour at a time I would get blacklisted. Now it updates very quickly without any blacklisting. Can’t think of any other benefits though.

@csuk anyway to make it make temperature change temp hold and not permanent hold.

I have this issue also… When you change temp on unit, it’s always a temp hold, but with ST it’s always permanent, which is not great…

That also means now with my Google home it’s a permanent hold…

Sometimes during the day I want to make it s little warmer or colder, but still want my bedtime schedule to kick in.

I would think its possibly a simple tweak to the Honeywell API code to do temp instead if permanent.

Is the Honeywell app available source? I don’t see it, I would help tweak it and the device handler to make this work if help was needed.

What smartapp are you showing here?

That was a community developed smart App that is obsolete since SmartThings now supports the Honeywell.

Thanks for the reply. The app you showed appeared to allow you to “resume program” and I haven’t found that functionality anywhere yet…
