Already using only the new app, do I need to “migrate”?

Probably already asked, so I’ll apologize for missing it when I searched, but I don’t even have the Classic app on my phone anymore. I haven’t been on the forum for a while because things have been working smoothly… Got the Platform Updates email, checked the forum saw the sunset post and urging to migrate. Do I need to download the old app and click the button in it to migrate? Or am I good since I’m already using the new app? Sorry again for what I’m sure is a repeat post.

No need to use the “migrate tool” … seems you already self migrated. From what I understand from reading other posts, you are all set.

If you’re already using the new app and comfortable with how your location is behaving, don’t bother with the migration. The migration tool does four things: 1) prompts you to migrate to a Samsung account login (the new app won’t accept SmartThings logins due to the permissioning backend), 2) migrates your routines to automations and scenes, 3) migrates any SHM settings to STHM and clears out the old version of SHM so you don’t get phantom alarms and 4) migrates any Lock Code Management settings to SmartLock Guest Access (if it’s available in your country).

Nope, you’re good to go. We cast the net pretty wide on users to contact for the migration so if you had the Classic app on your phone anytime in the past year, you’ll get a message. If you’re already using the new app exclusively there should be nothing else to do.

Getting prompted to migrate 'other location' but only have one location in account

Brad, I’ve been using the new SmartThings app for months since I manually migrated all my a Routines to Automations, and disabled the SHM in the old app and started using the new app STHM in my primary location. All of my primary location Scenes were created in the new SmartThings app since I didn’t use Scenes in the old SmartThings app. But the old SmartThings app is showing the migration notification for my primary location. I also have a second location which I created in the new SmartThings app for testing the STHM. This location doesn’t even have the Routines option available when I look at this location in the old SmartThings app. I created the second location to test stuff out with the STHM so there’s no physical devices associated with it, just simulated/virtual devices and the ST…
