[Urgent] Error 500 on GET /apps - Account Corrupted (Ghost App Limit Exceeded)

Hi @nayelyz @Itati

I really need your help.
I am a developer getting a “500 Internal Server Error” when running smartthings apps via CLI.

[Diagnosis]
It seems I have exceeded the limit of 60 App Definitions with “Ghost Apps” created via API.
Because of the 500 Error, I cannot list or delete them myself.

[Current Error Log]

  • Command: smartthings apps
  • Error: AxiosError: Request failed with status code 500
  • Message: A non-recoverable error condition occurred.
  • Request ID: 6986be18000000003fdf0b01952461a4

[What I tried - IMPORTANT]

  1. I tried to contact support, but the email (support@smartthings.com) bounced back.
  2. I even tried “Withdrawing” my SmartThings service and Re-joining.
  3. However, the 500 Error PERSISTS immediately after re-joining.

This confirms that the corrupted data is stuck in your internal database and was NOT cleared by the withdrawal process.

Could you please escalate this to the engineering team for a “HARD RESET” of my App Definitions?
I need my account cleaned. Thanks.

Hi, @Jyang
I noticed your post was queued for review as it was typed too fast. I approved it to provide awareness for other users that might see this since we are already in contact with you through Email.

There’s an active issue where developers that have many apps definitions that require a pagination during the GET request get a 500 error. The engineering team is already aware of this issue and is working on fixing it.

This is not because you reached a limit on App definitions created.
