• Starting with 0.47.3 Hub firmware, the Hub can automatically perform a firmware update of any certified Matter device upon the addition of newer Firmware to CSA’s DCL . CSA vets each firmware update, and the Hub will only perform an update if the released firmware has been certified by CSA. Unlike Zigbee, the images are downloaded from the Manufacturer’s host server. As a result, SmartThings does not test and validate all the Firmware updates.
