SmartThings Status Page - what's the point?

So we’re all being hammered by a device health outage, but the status page is all operational. Is this not counter-intuitive? It’s the first thing we should be able to check for truth. Instead we have to hope everyone is posting here or Reddit to confirm if there’s an outage.

The status page always lags since it has to be updated by a human

Back when I worked in tech-support (for a different global 2000 company) reviewing status page updates was part of my job. We were required to update it with an “investigating“ message within 10 minutes of receiving the third confirmed report.

Samsung often takes hours, if it gets to the status page at all. The delay is not just because it’s being done by humans.
