Samsung TV showing offline in ST when TV powered off - Google Home

Same problems here. My Frame will always stay connected however my UN65NU8000 running 1320.4 software ver. on wired connection consistently shows offline on ST whenever it’s been turned off for 30+ min. I can click the offline TV on ST and it will tell me it’s offline however if I click the power button (for the TV through the app) it turns on. This makes absolutely no sense. I’ve tried everything. The delete and renew helps for about an hour and it’s back to the same old.

What it seems like is this TV drops it’s internet connection, regardless of wired or wireless, every time you turn the TV off. My Frame does not do this. This TV didn’t do this either for the first 6 months about, but the past 2.5yrs it’s been constant.

I have two samsung tv, one is wired with ethernet the other is wifi, both have the same issue. Brand new televisions and very annoying problem.

My Q80T 55 has gone offline in the Smartthings (ST) app as well so the automation to turn the back lights on and off no longer works. It worked fine for over a year and then recently went offline is ST (it is still connected to the internet as all streaming services work) The only way I could get it back on line was to delete it from the ST app and re set it up as a new TV but that only lasted a day and it has gone offline again (even when the TV is on). Clearly something has changed on the TVs or ST, come on Samsung , this is not an isolated local issue there is something wrong your end here!

Same thing with a 65’ Frame TV connected via Ethernet. I can control it just fine (on/off) but after a couple of hours after hitting the OFF button, it goes offline (deep sleep).

Just bought my Neo QLED TV and immediately figured out my TV cannot turn on via Alexa after a long deep sleep. I immediately realized it is a Wake-On-LAN (WoL) problem.

There is a skill in Alexa particularly designed to tackle this issue, called Wake On LAN (WoL). It works so far.

I agree and disagree at this point. Yes the tvs are junk but its not.the wifi. Mine are hardwired and i still cant use the app to power on my tvs and as a result am unable to run automations. Looks nice but ends about there. I have an S21 and my wifi signal is strong. I hate the “well maybe its your wifi” excuses. There should be a straightforward practical solution for whatbseemsmto be a prett6 common issue.
Only solution i can find is rebooting each time I want to use a function. Unbelieveable. At least you only bought 1 tv. I wish Apple made tvs

I have the same issue. I’m thinking if it’s not like that by design?

I’m not seeing any solutions for the constant offline. Wifi is on. It turns off fine. And sometimes randomly turns on.STs is very difficult to get things to work. Can my Samsung tv be controlled by Alexa instead of ST. My alexa worked fine with Sony and LG To turn on and off.

What model is you TV? My Samsung TV stays online even when “turned off”. In fact, I have a Routine that turns on Ambient mode in the morning.

That being said, if you install the ST Alexa skill, you can link Alexa devices to your TV so you can manage the TV with voice commands.
