Thank you for pointing that out.
Android devices render it slightly differently from iOS devices which ended up showing a decimal point for Humidity. It has been corrected in version 01.00.06

typo, should be 01.00.06 - thanks for the quick fix.
so ive been running 5 of these monoprice 4 in 1 motion sensors for a year with this device handler and all is well with those sensors.
recently i purchased 2 more monoprice 4 in 1 motion sensors and those are showing ghost motion a couple of times a day. one shows 100% battery and the other shows 80% battery. i even moved them within a couple of feet of the st hub and faced them down on the shelf, but they still show ghost motion a couple of times a day. has anyone else experienced this?
Been using these for about a year. I’ve been using this device handler for the last 2-3 months, and the Zooz handler before that. In all cases, all three devices I have act like the battery drops in the first month after replacement, then hangs out at 1% battery life for months afterward, with no problems in functionality. I initially thought it was because I was using generic batteries and tried a different brand (Duracell), but it behaved the same way. I am not using rechargeables either.
I’ve been using Eneloop rechargeables and they behave in the same way. I haven’t really used them as motion sensors so I can’t say anything about ghost motion.
so, looks like I will be returning the 2 sensors that I just purchased as they are still showing ghosting motions several times a day even though I removed both, reset them, and reinstalled them in opposite places. I was thinking about exchanging them, but what if the replacement are from the same bad batch and the 30 day return window closes before i get and test them.
Is it during the last 2-3 days? There have been random ghost events being reported across the platform from motion sensors to moisture sensors. Probably related to the recent outage.
Its been going on for about 2 (or so) weeks now. Though just with these 2 new sensors and not the 5 other that were purchased about a year (or so) ago. Now, with these 2 new sensors one is not showing status updates and the other is still showing false ghosting motions. also, one sensor is draining the batteries fast. they are going back. lol
For some reason my 4 in 1 with this DTH shows motion all the time in Classic App IOS. I have Excluded and the installed twice. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have it set to Humidity as priority. Below is a screenshot from my iPad. Also the icon on the things page isn’t a motion detector icon it looks like a presence sensor icon.
If the ST mobile app is showing the wrong state then just kill the app and restart it.
Is the recently tab showing the correct activity? If not you may need to “reset” your sensor
I have reset the sensor. It shows motion all the time.
Things to try:
If all of the above doesn’t fix it, may be defective unit (very unlikely, usually it’s a mesh, connection or ST app issue)
I got two of these recently; the first of these was stuck reporting motion all the time but was showing other info properly. When I first set it up I had Light as the Primary Sensor. I did the second one with Motion as the Primary and it worked fine the first try. Then I re-did the first: removed from ST, z-wave excluded.
Then I re-added from scratch and chose Motion as the Primary Sensor - it’s working now. Not sure if that selection has anything to do with anything or if it was just a flaky initial pairing.
Using the Request Update button in ST coupled with pulling the back plate to force a Tamper update from the device is a good trick to refresh the thing. I recommend not paper clip hole poking once it’s paired properly.
Hello, new to this community and Smartthings. I was a long time Lowes Iris user was very surprised how well that systemed worked… I now have a combo of things… Smartthings, ADT, Ring, wyze and some old compatible iris. My question is related to Humidity i have this Monoprice 4 in 1 sensor and found some DH code to partially get it working in the app. temp and humidity and light all in one square… but i am not able to find any smartapps that do anything with Humidity.
My goal would be to use one or two of these 4 in 1 sensor to monitor humidity and kick on AC based on those sensors instead of thermostat using temp in the main area.
Do most people use the old Smartthings or New Smartthings app. and why? I have been using old seem to have better stability and luck with things working properly. I am on a v2 smartthings hub.
sorry for the fragmented brain dump here…
Hi there. Here’s an app to control humidity using a HVAC
So to get the code / app. / DH do i have to get a membership?
here’s a good topic to links with discussions on new app vs classic app. FAQ: New SmartThings App
You can use both apps at the same time. There is also a custom automation creator in the new app that allows you to control devices on many types of conditions (including humidity). for anything too complex, you may have to find a dedicated app like RBoy linked to above or use Webcore.
Yes, one time fee for all of RBOY’s code.
on my Monoprice sensor why showing all time 1% im using RBY’S Device Handler
any advice
