Any word on the smartthings "extend" for Samsung TV?

Just bought a new samsung 2016 tv and some “things”. I purposely did not buy the hub because the tv can act as a hub. But when is the extend coming out?!

Samsung 2016 Smart TVs as Devices

I did a few searches but may have somehow missed the announcement. It seems at the very least my 2016 6 series is now able to be controlled as a device. Power Off, Volume, Mute, Picture and Audio Modes all work perfectly. Power On only seems to work for a couple of minutes after turning the TV off before it fully enters sleep. Alexa automatically added it as a switch and is able to turn it off and on. Has anyone else had success or know if there was an official announcement for this support yet? I know there was some testing last summer but it didn’t seem to be working for anyone. Edit: 2016 not 2015

UPDATE: 2016 Samsung TV Smartthings Integration = BEWARE it's False Advertising - Update: Not anymore!

As a hub is basically a no go BUT as a connected thing there are lots of threads talking about people getting it working without issue. Unfortunately I have a J series, although nicer and more expensive, it’s a 2015 model and can’t connect. For a UK based person there are also lots of discussion that you most likely will never get TV based alerts because of UK based laws which would make it illegal. I’m no lawyer so I can’t even start to understand or argue the merit of those comments but worth at least passing on the discussion.

Samsung ks8500 TV as a SmartCam Webcam Monitor

Hello, I just purchased a Samsung un65ks8500 TV and I also have a Samsung SmartCam HD Pro. I was wondering if with the Smartthings Extend, if you can use the TV as a monitor for the webcam? I use the webcam as a baby monitor and want to set it up so that like the SmartCam app on my phone, when the camera detects motion it will pop up with the the webcam on my TV. Thanks
