Open discussion - Issues with expanding Philips Hue integration (Hue Connect)

Thanks Lars, it will make a lot of people very happy I’m sure

Can someone confirm if Phoenix is working as well as of today (Hue Ambiance is out and if Phoenix is a color temperature light it should technically work too).

Thanks!

Hi, I am running a Phoenix Hue and have been a able to add it and control it through the App fine! Thanks for the update.

Hi Lars,

Can confirm it works for me as well, I manually changed the device types over and then replaced my modified Hue Connect app and seems to work fine - thanks again.

One thing that would be really nice for the Hue Phoenix type lights is that they support colour temperature changes which give very different effects. It would be nice if that was exposed to SmartApps in the same way the colour Hue bulbs have ‘Turn on and set colour’ a ‘Turn on and set temperature’ would be great. For example during the day I have a motion sensor that turns lights on in a dark hallway - in the morning a strong white light works well whilst at night a warmer light is less jarring.

Any chance

Thanks,

Paul

Hue bridge allow to connect 50 device now ,if you only can connect 11,maybe it has used or test different bulb or ther before.

you can try to reset it.

if you want to buy cheaper hue compatiable bulbs or strip. advise as below way to try hue compatiable proudct .

I’ve been having an issue lately with Smartthings v2 hub losing the ability to control hue bulbs, while still being able to get their status. (Knows if its on or off, but can’t make any changes, it just stays at “turningon” until the next poll.)

I tried deleting the Hue Hub (which deletes all bulbs) and then readding all bulbs and hub, recreating all rules… and within 24 hours it lost control again. So far, it seems that restarting the Smartthings hub via clicking the recessed button brings control back.

Anyone having this issue again? Any new fixes or solutions to the problem?
