Continuing the discussion from Philips Hue bulbs no longer working and getting NoAvailableHostsException:
I continue to have my Hue hub and Hue bulbs drop off and stop working. Almost fell down the steps last night when the motion sensor didn’t cue the light on, which was when I realized the dang thing wasn’t working AGAIN. I know that my ST Hub lost internet connectivity yesterday, could this be causing the problem with connecting to the bulbs, etc.? I am tired of having to “re-discover” these items every few days! and setting the lights to look like we are home, etc. is useless if the system is not reliable. And I can turn the lights on remotely - but it might not work.
SO FRUSTRATING!! Just when I was ready to invest more in this system, do more like add cameras, etc. now I don’t know what to do!
I’m sure this is not the answer you want, but you might be better served using Hue outside of ST - especially where lighting is critical to safety.
I’ve been using the system for nearly a year, and it has never been reliable with respect to Hue. For a stairwell I’d stick with a traditional/legacy sensor and bulb or find an alternative method of triggering the Hue.
