What was missing was the fingerprints for the Nuki locks in the so-called new-matter-lock sub-driver.
which finally officially supports the lock, unlock and unlatch commands.
… and if you have the Nuki Door Sensor, this driver supports the door state.

Your integration of the sensor is a very smart feature. I had already noticed this.
For me, the Aeotec Multipurpose Sensor does the job. It also measures the temperature in the hallway, and its vibration detection notifies me on the phone respectively a smart speaker if someone knocks at the door. And it costs just over half the price of that Nuki sensor.
