Multiple Hub disconnected notifications

I am not sure, that my Hub is on the Beta channel or not, but I do have 000.054.00012 as version number so far.

And I am annoyed so much about this update, as the SmartThings app keeps sending me notification, that my Hub is disconnected. Does anybody seeing a similar issue?

I do not use as much the SmartThings hub as before, but some part of it is still used with Google Home. And this offline thing seems to be a n ew issue which just started recently.

Otherwise, as I just looked at the SmartThings Advanced IDE, I just want to ask from curiosity what is this characteristic for the Hub? The hubLocalApiAvailability.

I see from @orangebucketā€™s post that he has Available for that:

Is there a local API coming to the Hubs at some point and the cloud could be ditched or what is that supposed to be? Or is it for local dashboards and control? No other mention of that phrase anywhere on the forum, so it makes me quite curiousā€¦

And what is the DEVICE_MQTT in the inventoriesSupportMatrix?

      "name": "DEVICE_MQTT",
      "version": 1

One of my v2 hubs still on FW 53.19 restated 16 times in the last 10 hours. This just started today for me.

I had this issue a couple of times per day last week, but I didnā€™t care because everything was working fine regardless.

Nice find! Havenā€™t seen that before!

Firmware version: 53.19

Edit: this isnā€™t a new characteristic, but I havenā€™t seen it in the interface before:

That is exactly the same post which I linked, but there is no other mention of it on the forum anywhere else. And that post is from the beginning of September, so just a month old.

Letā€™s tag Jimmy, @Automated_House, maybe he knows something. If I can guess he must be busy with the SDC at the moment and must be amazed by the new mix of buzzwords AI for IoTā€¦

I was wondering if perhaps it was related to the SmartThings Home API that allows third parties to use SmartThings Matter services. I am hoping it might be something more interesting though.

54.12 is beta so you may want to post in the Beta thread:

Thanks! I left a comment there referencing my previous one. I doubt that anybody would check it before next Tuesday or Wednesdayā€¦ It is weekend, everything stops there.

Hi, @GSzabados

I moved your post to a new thread to discuss this further. Iā€™ll open a report for the engineering team about this, to do so, could you provide the following information, please?

  1. Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM
  2. Enable support access to your account:
  1. Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
  2. Log in to your Samsung Account
  3. Select Menu (ā‹®) and choose Settings
  4. Toggle on Account Data Access
  5. Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select ā€œUntil turned offā€, once the team finishes, weā€™ll let you know so you can disable it again.
  1. Next time you receive this notification, please collect:

a. App logs

How to get them?
  1. Go to Menu > Gear Icon > About SmartThings
  2. Tap the SmartThings logo 10 times.
  3. This will open the developerā€™s space > tap ā€˜report a problemā€™
  4. This will send you to the report page. Select a frequency and write a short description of the issue.
  5. Click on ā€œReportā€ and a log file will be generated for you to send over email, please do to build@smartthings.com

b. Hub logs

How to get them?
  1. In the my.smartthings, enter ā€œyour hubsā€
  2. Enter the corresponding Hub
  3. Click on ā€œDump Hub Logsā€
  4. Change the reason for requesting hub logs if needed
  5. Click on ā€œDump Hub Logsā€
  6. Confirm that the request is submitted

@nayelyz, it is still the same as it is for many years.

You should have a Hub log dump from the weekend already as I pressed that in hope that I would understand a bit more, but obviously there is no easy way to see what is the Hub doing from the IDE. (I call it IDE, because it is named IDE, like somebody has no fantasy to come up with new phrases for the new features.)

Today I have remove at least a half dozen disconnect, and only disconnect, notifications, as there wasnā€™t a single connected notification.

Why does the Hub not have its own history as any other device?

Seriously, emailing it? Couldnā€™t you implement to transmit it automatically?

PS.: Otherwise all done. Sent all of it, you have a week time access to the Hub as well.

PS. #2: Iā€™ve just sent another set of logs, just after another message popped up.

One of mine started doing this one week or so ago. Twice a day, always at the same minute or around it of the hour, sometimes even at the same time. 13:09, 19:09, 1:09, 16,09, 1:09, 1:07, 1:06šŸ¤”

Hi, @pmsr. Welcome to the SmartThings Community!

Itā€™s curious that you found a pattern in the time of when these notifications appear, could you also send the information requested above, please?
Note: Additionally, I would need you to mention the time when it happened including your timezone. For example: 13:09 CST

Yes, happened again today, and guess what, 16:09. This is all CET . Iā€™ll try to do that you requested.

Can confirm my email here matches the one I use for SmartThings. I have two hubs on it, it is the one with EUI D052A8BC7DE00001 . Iā€™ve allowed Account Data Access as you requested.
