Aeotec Smart Home Hub/2018/2015 Model Hub Firmware Release Notes - 0.57.14

We will begin rolling out Samsung SmartThings Hub firmware version 0.57.14 starting on June 3rd 2025. Once downloaded, your Hub will briefly go offline as it reboots and applies the update; most customers will experience less than one minute of downtime. We will update the status page when the release is complete.

Hub Target:

  • Samsung SmartThings Hub 2015 (Hub v2)
  • Samsung SmartThings Hub 2018 (Hub v3)
  • Aeotec Smart Home Hub

Release Period: 03 June 2025 ~ 13 June 2025

Note that this release will be spread out over the course of multiple weeks, so you may not see your Hub update on the first day of the release period. This release period is an estimate, so the rate of hubs updated and final completion date may vary slightly within the timeframe. Please check the status page for more up to date information on this release.

Release Notes

General

  • Add Matter Time Synchronization support - the hub now serves as a trusted time source to provide connected Matter devices that support time sync with accurate time.
  • Fix issue preventing or delaying some Zigbee devices from receiving firmware updates in scenarios where more than 5 Zigbee devices are present.
  • Firmware update for IKEA Inspelning plug provided by the Hub via OTA update.
    • Once the IKEA device is connected to your hub, the update can be applied manually via the device card or will be automatically applied if you have the Device Firmware Updates setting set to automatic.

Edge Drivers

  • Add the ability to register for some device generated messages (Switch, Switch Level, and some Zigbee sensors) to be processed and generated outside the edge driver to reduce latency.
  • Bugfix to avoid loading subdriver code multiple times in certain cases.
  • Support using group commands when possible with Hue LAN edge driver.

Reminding you my message from previous hub updates:

Two problems are still missing:

  1. increase the transition of oflline time, so we won’t receive false offline states from zigbee devices that works on battery, that didn’t report status within 2 hours. I prefer 10 hours.
  2. Bring back HTML in custom capabilities edge driver to app as requested by @w35l3y here:[Feature Request] Allowing HTML in Custom Capabilities

App update (not hub).

  1. Please allow to choose language of the app. So, mobile phone can be 1st language and app will be other language.
  2. Please add ability to see mesh connections also in Z-Wave devices (already exist in Zigbee devices)

Do we know if this firmware version will fix this: Sonos status reporting and control issues (loss of) - #2 by jkp

I missed this note! @nayelyz , do you know if this is the only IKEA product with firmware update through SmartThings?

One of the reasons to not get a Inspelning and even recommended against it for SmartThings was precisely the buggy firmware out of the box and SmartThings not being able to update them. I’m glad it can be updated now.

Talking about OTAs, is there any list of what Zigbee devices are supported? And what happened to Matter OTA, it’s been two years without changes to supported devices in the post.

Did anyone test SONOS ???

Fine for me on production channel, beta may still have issues though…

Problem with SONOS V1 … All Devices Offline on Beta SONOS Driver … fixed by reverting to production version

My 2015 hub died last night, could this be related to the firmware update?

Define died? No led light on front of hub and light on Ethernet port shows no activity? Or simply it shows as offline but it is still connected with green led light on front of hub?

Doubt it is related to hub firmware update - that ended days ago.

The light on the hub turns green but there are no zigbee or zwave devices showing up are the hub either online or on the app only wifi connected ones. All my rooms are still there but they are empty.

Do contact ST support

Do you know the best way to do this?
I have tried chatting and was put in line with a one day wait…
And no response yet from the contact us option in The app.

Thanks for you help jkp

Unfortunately the only method is the app > Menu > Contact us. If you are in the US, calling may be a faster method vs online chat.

Did you login to the Advanced Web App to check the status of your zigbee and z-wave radios to see if they are active. If they are online, you can attempt to power cycle any zigbee/z-wave main powered devices in your home.

I did not see a calling option and the Advanced Web App shows: no hubs!

I hope Support gets in touch with you soon.
