iOS 2.0 Discussion!

Same here. No option for contacts in iOS. @slagle?

It would be promising if @pstuart has it on his IOS device because that would mean it would not have to be an app update

Some of us (including myself) have not had the contacts option pushed to us yet. @tslagle13 told me to ping support and ask for it to be pushed to me, but they are buried and that can’t be considered a priority I am sure.

Its there, my daugthers iphone confirmed it. 3 dot menu in dashboard, top right. My Contacts.

So I have it and you don’t. Confirmed.

Cool, thanks for confirming with us!

Yep, I just signed into ST on my son’s Android phone, set up a contact, then launched ST on my iPad where the Contacts menu item now appears. Not an ideal workaround, but it works for now. I haven’t tested its functionality yet though.

So the workaround is find someone with an android phone to create a contact on your account for you and then it shows up in iOS?

PM me your account info and I’ll help where I can  (don’t really, I’m joking…)

I’ll head back to android land now, where my wife’s android account can’t even log in…

Opened a ticket for the busy support guys!

@smart, was going to do that but since it was suggested that this would be added to everyone automatically, I did not want to bother them.
Please post back if opening a ticket is necessary to get this added.
Thanks!

I’ve been told, open a ticket if you have an issue.

They can’t get to all these tickets quickly, but if more tickets go in on a specific issue, it will get prioritized higher then just a stand alone issue.

I assume a lot of iOS users who don’t also have android are having this issue.

Just submitted it, thanks!

Opened a ticket. But nor sure who to add to that list. Aah! I have to add ST support.

“Lights and Switches” on the Dashboard overview still doesn’t work. It says “Some lights are on” - selecting it it shows all my lights and switches and lists them all as off :frowning:

I put in a support request a couple months ago and received the following answer:

Hey Andreas,

Thanks for reaching out. That is a known bug that involves how the dashboard counts the connected devices. We are working on changing the current interface, so that issue should be addressed once that is done.

Let me know if that helps, and feel free to reach out again anytime.

Is there another redesign coming that will fix this or did the fix just not make it in?

According to the CEO in another thread, there’s a new updated version coming in the next week or two that will add “sets” as a way of grouping devices in addition to rooms. But that’s all we know so far.

Didn’t someone figure out how to run the Android version of the ST App in an emulator running under MS Windows a while back? If you really want the “Contacts” feature in iOS, you could try following the instructions in this thread to see if you can get the Android version running on your PC…

Or, just send @pstuart your credentials!!! Just kidding!!!

I just tried what @ogiewon did (but an android tablet) and added my wife as a contact. It initially gave me errors til I realized I still had the ST app open on other devices. Once I limited it to just the iphone, it accepted the contact without error. I also tested it by setting off an alarm, and her phone immediately got the pushed message, so it does indeed work.

Mine are gone as well. Yet I now have a phantom device I can’t get rid of because it is supposedly linked to multiple phantom smart apps, which I can’t remove the device from because they don’t show up anywhere in the app that I’ve been able to find.

I’m seriously considering starting over at this point. It seems like it would just be easier.
Not cool smartthings.
Not cool AT ALL

Also. The navigation bar at the bottom of the app disappears whenever I go into the things tab. I have to close the app completely and reopen to get back out of it.
