The illuminance measurement is more accurate than before when the illuminance is below 500 lux (usually indoors). At values ââhigher than 500 lux, the measurement differs a lot from other sensors.

I have three Vallhorns net to each other in my living room that have the updated driver. The Lux values are 5338, 3998 and 3268. Thats quite a variation but I suspect it is down to the hardwareâŚ
Are all three in the same location, facing the same way, and exposed to the same light source? Iâm sure the light intensity varies dramatically within a room!

All three on top of the same speaker facing the same direction. No gaps between them.

The motion sensor can be connected to 10 Ikea light sources at the same time, and they all work in unison.
You can choose to set the motion sensor to day or night mode and also set it to automatically turn off after 1 or 5 minutes.

I could really need a little help with this device.
- I have installed 2 Vallhorn.
- Both installed with Zigbee Motion Sensor Mc.
- They both work the same way
- Illuminance and signalMetrics is updated on regular basic
- Motion is only updated if I push one of the buttons on the back of the sensor, there is no update from âmotionâ no matter how long I wait.
Anyone with an idea?

They were not.
As soon as I toggled to night mode, they both changed status to active - and turned the light on I have programmed.
However they will now stay in the new âactiveâ status, It is, as they will only change status when I press one of the buttons on the back.
Are you controlling lights via ST routines or using Ikea direct connection?
Have you made factory reset?
To factory reset quick-press the Pairing button 4 times (within 5 seconds).
Pairing started immediately ( no need to push pairing button ).

I do all my routines in ST.
I think I have found the reason why they don´t work.
When installing, I used new Alkaline batteries. After swapping them to rechargeable batteries, both sensors works and changes status when motion is seen.

Has anyoneâs Vallhorns (after 20 mins of working perfectly) started ghost senseing movement? I get 40 or more triggers with it in a box in a dark closet. Reset several times and it always does the same thing. makes it kinda worthless.

Are you using normal 1.5V batteries? If yes you have to switch to LADDA 1.2V batteries.

Yes I had the same issue using standard AA batteries. Changed to rechargeable Ikea batteries, issue sorted.
Hi! I have bought IKEA Parasoll door sensor. I have installed the driver from Marianoâs Edge drivers Shared Channel. However when I pair the sensor it is paired using âZigbee Thingâ driver. There is no other driver available if I try to choose âSelect different driverâ option.
Which driver you installed?
Ikea Parasollâs driver is Zigbee Contact Mc.
Thanks for the reply. I was using the âZigbee Motion Sensor Mcâ. I howver have deleted the âZigbee Thingsâ driver thinking that if I remove that one, it will start using the other driver. Now I am not able to pair the device at all. Do you know how can I reinstall the âZigbee Thingsâ driver?
