You can install from Mariano’s Shared Channel his Zigbee Thing Mc driver.
It works now. I had to reboot my hub. Thanks alot for your help.
One weird thing happening is that now when I add the device, it keep on trying to find the device and fails. Howver, the device is added to the list. It didn’t asked to name the device and choose the room for the device. I can however modify those details later.
This worked for me with Parasoll sensor. Reset while you put your hub in search mode. No need to push pairing button for 10 sec.
Thanks
Hi everyone.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
- I installed the driver from Mariano
- I paired the motion sensor with the hub
- It didn’t show me the status the first time:
- I reset the sensor and reconnected it.
I now have battery status, lighting brightness, and no motion data:
Fun fact: While resetting the sensor, I also reset the three Lidl bulbs that started pulsing with the sensor’s red light. I had to add the bulbs to the hub again (I had reset them before).
What should I do now?
Oh, I rebooted the hub. It had no effect.
PS: The timer is on 1, the day/night on “day”.
When I drag down the device page trying to refresh, I get messages like this:
Did you try pairing the sensor right next to the hub? Also let it set for a couple minutes after pairing before you play with it.
Delete and reset it. Place it physically on the hub and re-pair it.
That’s what I am doing right now.
And again, this time resetting the sensor caused reset in another zigbee device:
This is insane…
Yes it is. I have never had that problem we with ZigBee. I have had it happen with z-wave when someone flipped a switch while I was excluding.
How are you resetting the sensor?
Because pressing for > 10 sec is not giving any results (the sensor is not turning red) I have to click fast 4 - 5 times. And that’s the moment when the other device starts to going crazy.
OK, the sensor is paired, but not showing any change:
Meantime I had to pair the sonoff relay again, taking the instalation out.
How to reset this sensor properly?
Funny thing: app shows it is connected…
…but once opened the sensor tab it shows this:
“Waiting for connection”
Let it set as is until tomorrow and see what happens.
And I am sorry to say I am out of ideas.
Okay. So one last try: I reset by quickly clicking six times. This time under a pot on the floor so it would not affect other devices .
The sensor started pulsing with a red light, I added it to the system by putting it on the hub. This time I got this (again):
I will leave it until morning. I’m out of ideas.
EDIT: The sensor runs on NiMH batteries from IKEA, of course. I charged them before use.
EDIT 2: So far it works.
