Hub Firmware Release Scheduled for 1/21/16 (Hub V2)

I’m in the UK and now have firmware version 14.00022.

Good news - the hub came back online by itself, as I have done nothing to reboot it so far.

Good news - Rule Machine and Pollster seem to be working.

Less good news, but not too bad - hub was offline for about an hour in total, judging from the pause in entries on the log.

Edit: ignore the above … premature, wishful thinking. It wasn’t an update just another mystery 1 hour hub downtime. At least now I know where to check for the version number

Is this the correct firmware version? I don’t see where they mentioned what version they were releasing.

I’m my hub its 000.014.00022, the events doesn’t show any reset/upgrade…

Mine too. I have this firmware version an it says the last time it was updated was on 12/20/15

Perhaps I didn’t get upgraded then, just a mysterious 1 hour outage?

It’s not 8 am yet on the west coast, don’t think they started anything yet.

The time window advised for UK users updates is 1 pm to 5 pm GMT, which is 5 am PST start, I think this was just on the emails.

something tells me you had an outage like i have been havving the last few days where my hub is constantly resetting

firmware 14.22 has been out some while

Why are the apps and devices updated this way?
Isn’t it easier to have them updated/synced through the cloud?
So when a smart app or device bug happens for any number of reasons then we have to wait for firmware certification to happen before we see a fix?
This all seems highly inefficient.

how will I know that my hub has been updated?

Me too. Can someone post how to see the version screen above? Was this just directly IPing to the hub from a browser? 2 week owner here.

Go into the IDE, click on “My Hubs” and you will see all of this information in the “Data” section.

cant even look at events and have to log in again every time i select something

Chrome has been giving me that headache for the past week. I just use IE (even though I dislike the browser) to view all of the https://graph.api.smartthings.com/ pages and I use Chrome for the forums and everything else. No issues with re-authenticating prompts after every click with IE.

So now I have the right date… Thought I’d see if anyone else has had the update in the UK yet? From what I can tell I’ve not had an update and it’s now 16.25…?

Can anyone shed any light?

Assuming it started on time 8:00am PST was 30 min ago… I doubt anyone will see any updates for a couple of hours. Chill… You’ll get updated soon enough.

The UK email has different times-

“An update is available for your SmartThings Hub. Between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm GMT on Thursday (1/21)”

Mine updated at 16:40 GMT in the UK. No problems what-so-ever. Should have taken up that 100-1 offer someone offered earlier :slight_smile:
