I’ve got two Orvibo Zigbee Relays (RL804QZB) in my setup. To date they have been rock solid. Following recent FW updates they both dropped of the network requiring a “30 min reboot”.
Once done all appears to have returned to normal.
I’m seeing some strange results with one of these relays that I had setup as a momentary switch (to control a garage door). The on/off sent from ST now takes much longer than it used to (regardless of the code that I use) which makes it useless for my use case (I need a relatively short momentary press). This may or may not relate to the most recent f/w update as I use the device very infrequently.
It seems that even basic switch gets no longer work with the TZ68E, so all my ZWave switches are now write only.
I have tried refresh and polls but I’m not getting any parse responses back from the devices.
I have tried a ZWave repair and excluding and re-including.
I have also tried various different handlers include the stock ZWave switch and they are all write only…
These were all working fine, so I know it’s as a result of the firmware update.
I’ve added 2 osram bulbs with latest firmware directly back into smartthings. Within 48 hrs 8 zigbee devices decided to drop off. Definitely not fixed or improved in any way for people with a lot of zigbee sensors.
Is this the thread where we air our grievances? I have two support tickets in for 1) failure of a group of routines and 2) now complete loss of control over the devices in those routines. EDIT My hub is completely bricked. Nothing is working AT ALL.**
The routines were very simple - turn a group of lights on or off at sunrise/sunset etc. The only real scheduled routine I have. And now it isn’t functioning. We come home from the hospital last night and expect the lights to be on - nothing.
Really losing patience quickly, waiting for Google Home to open up their API to other hubs so we can find something that works.
I have 3 smart things motion sensors. After the OTA update two report motion when there is none. One died. Good update. NOT. Can we get the old firmware back in the sensors??? I should have never let OTA update be enabled. One support, ticket no response. @slagle What help can we get?? The light in the bath room does not come on and the GF is not happy.
I had the same problem with one of my ST motion sensors.
Put a ticket into support and from the time it was sent by me, to the support staff agreeing that they would replace it after various emails and diagnostic checks, 5 hours.
Cannot fault the service.
Sorry, but I can only speak as I find.
Seeing issues here too. Before the update my zigbee devices were stable. Since the update, 3 Lightify A19 bulbs and an Iris contact sensor have stopped responding. Before the update I may have had a total of 3 Zigbee devices disconnect over the past 6 months. Definitely much worse now.

I have two sensors that were fine until the OTA update, no problems and no bad report of motion. This sensor has been in place for a while with no problems. After the update it have 121 cases of motion in 5 hours in an empty house. Support told me to move it to a better location. So the update broke the sensor and support is of little help. I have ask to have the old firmware put back in the sensor. Can this be done? Did ST make an update with no way to put the old firmware back in the device? What is causing the sensor to show so much motion? Please help or I will have to get rid of the sensors. Any body want to buy some ST motion sensors? I am working with Brad in support. He has no answer about putting the old firmware in the sensor. Who knows the motion sensor firmware guy?
I’ve had a Lightify totally fail - it’s only 6 months old - and even a hard power cycle can’t bring it back. I don’t know if it’s related. I’ve also got a SmartThings motion sensor I’ve had to take offline as we keep getting plunged into darkness when it falsely detects us going to bed.
I hope this update isn’t responsible for bricking my bulb. Could it be?
These false triggers all around the house is driving me nuts. SHM and sirens unusable now as my 21 smartthings sensors which were all okay until the firmware upgrade are all randomly detecting motion. Lights are coming on for no reason due to detected motion and I just ignore all the alerts when I go out now. It is 100% nothing to do with placement as these motion sensors detect motion even when thrown into a box for several hours.
Yeah, same here but I only have four motion sensors causing me grief. Haven’t opened a support case yet since it seems clear there is a larger issue than just my house. My issues started BEFORE enabling OTA but after the hub firmware upgrade as far as I can tell. Three of my four sensors received their firmware update within 24 hours of me enabling OTA but the 4th one wasn’t checking for updates for some reason. Just reset the battery today and it updated within a couple of hours. I hope I can leave OTA enabled (especially since it doesn’t appear to be the issue) but before I open a ticket or do anything else I want to see if I still have issues with all the sensors on the same firmware version.
My ST motion sensors are fine for now. I haven’t enabled OTA. Oddly apparently the dirt cheap xiaomi sensors work with ST ever since the update. I have a few on order.
