Google Home Assistance - problems with ST - KNOWN issue to Google

@lars I am new to the forums as many are on this thread and are experiencing the same issues. I am unable to fully unlink my account from google home control devices. It shows i have 19 after unlinking previously and have lost complete control from google home. Can you assist with unlinking my accounts?

It was not GH firmware. I received an email from both Google and SmartThings about an update that would require relinking devices. When I opened my Google Home app, it had ā€œSmartThings (upgrade!)ā€ at the top. I went back to the ST email and it instructed me to unlink my ST and relink it. I did that and now I, like many others, are in this mess.

I guess it could have been GH firmware that triggered the ST upgrade request but since I’m already past that point, I don’t know if my firmware is new or not.

My firmware on one my GHs is:
1.27.97091

I haven’t heard from @Lars yet but it’s the weekend.

I just tried unlinking again this morning and it worked. No idea why. Maybe they did some backend fixes. I added it back and it looks like it’s only got one copy of each actual device. So, I guess it’s fixed.

I managed to unlink and relink, but I still have one light that will not respond. It’s my most used device and I keep being told it cannot find a device with that name when I can see it in the Google home control app.

I am trying to link SmartThings and google home but after adding the device, It goes to the Authorize page where-in after authorizing I am getting following error "Something went wrong, please try again"
I tried all steps mentioned in this forum. Re-linking the account. Re-installing the app. Nothing seems to be working for me

@Lars I just bought a second Google Home today and everything got all messed up. I now too am having the issue where I can’t unlink my ST account and nothing is working right.

I’ve tried the usual of factory resetting the Google Homes, clearing cache/data of both apps, rebooting phone, and still not able to unlink. Any help or visibility on this matter would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I also can’t unlink my ST account from Google Home. I keep getting a ā€œsomething went wrongā€ error. I tried to limit the devices GH can access through the ā€œGoogleā€ smart app in ST but GH continues to list all 34 of my devices as connected.

@Lars , I appreciate all you have done and are doing and would really appreciate it if you could take a look into my account as well. I don’t have any thermostats but I do have some custom device handlers. I would send you a PM but am unable to do so since I am a new member.

Could you please help me? I’m not able to link Google Assistant and Smartthings (and not able to PM you). Could there be a problem with that I’m not in US? I am always sendt to: ā€œhttps://graph.api.smartthings.com/ā€ instead of ā€œhttps://graph-eu01-euwest1.api.smartthings.comā€. Another SmartApp I had same trouble with was fixed by changing from US -> UK adress.

My wife is unable to unlink her SmartThings account, but mine is fine. This is tied to her Assistant account, not the Google Home hardware.

Lars I am having the same issue with not being able to unlink. How do I PM you?
