DISCUSS Deals/Sales/Coupons/Pricing HERE (post deals in the other thread)

This gives me hope that my 2 gardenspots will actually ship instead of being in “in process” :frowning:

…you spend most of your day trying to correct people to do things the way you think it should be done.
I won’t flag it, because I don’t necessarily think it rises to the level of that, but I AM calling this comment out.

How is such an obviously FALSE statement in ANY WAY helpful, respectful or adding anything positive to this discussion?

Reasons why I say it’s obviously FALSE…

 1. I clearly do NOT spend most of my day in here; not even most of my day on the forum, let alone in here.

 2. I have said over and over again that the opinion I am supporting in this whole deals-thread discussion is NOT MINE! (geez, dude!). I am simply recognizing where it seems like there is an unmet need in the Community (get it?, we’re supposed to all be working on this together; NOT finding cleaver ways to dis somebody because you don’t like their ideas), taking up that cause, and attempting to assist.

Please! I try REALLY hard to be respectful of everyone here; regardless of whether I agree with them or not (if you think you see a post where that is not the case, please flag it, and either call me out on the forum or PM me about it, because it’s definitely something that I do NOT want to do, to ANYONE.

Thanks.

p.s. If obviuously FALSE, and/or disrespectful comments like this continue (from ANYONE / to ANYONE; here in this thread or the deal-posting thread), I will indeed flag them from here on out.

I got the email from CC saying they had rerun the charge and site was still showing as “in process”. Today website is showing shipped with tracking number. Still no notifications from Lowe’s that they actually shipped though. Of course I got the shipping notification for the last 2 A19s about an hour AFTER UPS delivered them LOL

I thought only threads could be subscribed. If I can subscribe to a category, and get notifications for each new or modified thread, then this is a good approach. In addition to keeping discussion attached to the deal, older deals would gradually age away, leaving mostly current info at the top.

I think so…I think I have subscribed to some sections and get notifications of new threads in those sections, but I could be getting confused with other forums.

Anybody else know for sure?

I guess I could go test it…ya, I will, but can’t get to it now. So, if anybody else wants to go give it a try with some section on the forum (i.e. subscribe to it, and ask somebody else to go create a new thread in that subscribed section and see if you get a notification about the new thread…

Yes, it is possible. I just subscribed for the Announcements section - the button for doing that is right of the +New Topic button at the top.

Thanks. Good to know.
So, did you have somebody else other than you create a thread in a section that you subscribed to, and you got notified of their newly created thread?

Does anyone here know if these bulbs are any good yet?

Feit bulbs from everything I’ve heard about them are probably one of the better LED brands out there… but I believe the Costco ones are day light and not soft white, so if you want incandescent color, it’s not what you want.

Actually, the words in my post are correct. These are indeed Soft White and NOT Daylight.
That’s from both what’s printed on the package AND what’s coming out of them here at home.

Cool! Thanks for the feedback.

Good to hear about the soft white, at my local Costco, all they had were the daylights, maybe stock ran out and they got soft whites now.

I have a set of 4 of those, SW but non-dimmable, that I got for $6 at HD. They work just fine.

From the post by @Jimxenus

That looks the same as the GE modules. Are they essentially the same except branding?

I believe so but I can’t say for sure 100%. The price is OK, not a phenomenal deal. For a few bucks more, you can get the smaller Aeon Labs Dimmer that will also report power usage for $34.99 but this doesn’t have the extra pass-thru outlet.

I have similar Feit’s that I picked from Ace Hardware a few months back. They dim well on my GE dimmers but flicker below 30% in a 3 lamp vanity light on an Enerwave dimmer.
I pick up 12 for 60 and 36 back in rebates.

This is the Announcements section we are talking about - we mere mortals are not allowed to create new topics there and I don’t think those who can have done so since I subscribed. But there are new posts in some of the existing topics and I didn’t get emails for them.

So, even with mentioned dimming issue, still good deal for a buck a piece then (i.e. 12 for $12)?

OK…ya, if you just subscribe to the section (or, ‘sub-forum’ in normal forum speak), you’d only get notifications for new threads created in the section. You wouldn’t get notifications for new posts in threads that you haven’t directly subscribed to (or at least that’s how it usually works on most other forums I’ve been on).

FWIW I much prefer how things are currently with two different threads. Not trying to stop anyone from posting whatever they want, but when it was just one deals thread I found there could be days with a few dozen discussion posts in between actual new deals.

EZVIZ Mini 720p HD Wireless Home Security Cloud Camera - 3 Camera Kit on lightning deal sale starts at 9AM CDT.
@DaPanda

Anybody know if these are compatible with either SmartThings or SmartTiles (sorry, I didn’t read the product details yet…because…um…I lost my glasses)?

Looking at the current price, I doubt they will discount it lower than $30 which is the current price of a similar item in Home Depot without any discounts: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-5-and-6-in-Smart-LED-Recessed-Downlight-53166161/206029900 This one in HD is Zigbee though. But it is tunable, works with the Osram Lightify device handler.
