Can't add a second Harmony Hub to Smartthings?

Can anyone hep me figure out this Harmony/ST issue?

My 1st hub added to Smartthings just fine, but when I try to add a second hub via the marketplace it does not find anything and continuously says ‘error refreshing page’ during the discovery process.

I do not have any old hubs listed in the My Harmony PC app (which I’ve read can be an issue), I’ve done the basic resets/restarts of both ST and harmony , but nothing has worked thus far - is there a way I can manually add the hub via IDE or something along those lines?

So, my first question is how do you have your account setup on the Logi side? If you are using Google or FB authentication, switch it over to just email. I had a nightmare of time adding new hubs until I changed over to just email authentication (in both the Harmony app and the ST->Harmony connection).

My second question is can you take a look at the live logs in the IDE and see if what is the actual error being thrown? (https://graph.api.smartthings.com/)

Also, have you tried going to Automation > SmartApps > Logitech Harmony (Connect) and allowing it to discover devices from there rather than trying to add a new connect through the marketplace?

Ok. I’ve found a few things to try. One, take the hub that isn’t being discovered and connect it to your PC (or Mac) and update the firmware. Also, you can try removing the hub from your account and then re-adding it (which, if you have a lot of activities/devices, is a PITA).

Beyond those, you might want to email support (Smartthings) and have them look into the error messages.

I know what you mean. I have 3 hubs and it took me literally MONTHS to get the third one added to ST. Unfortunately, I ended up having to reset the hub to get it added to ST, so hopefully, you don’t have to go down that route.

Yeah, I really, really hope I don’t have to go down that route… there was a firmware update available for the 2nd hub and it’s updating now… Fingers crossed :neutral_face:

Can anyone from Smartthings suggest any other alternative to completely removing my working hub and re-adding? I’d really prefer not to have to go down that route as I’ve read that some owners who did this were not able to re-add either of their Harmony hubs afterwards. Hassle I could do without tbh…

Send them an email and in the body, give them permission to look at your account (saves and email back and forth as they need your permission).

Try renaming your harmony hub and then try to connect it.

Had this issue with my 2nd and 3rd HUB. Each time I had to delete the devices and un-install the Connect App and start over. Was the ONLY way. NOTHING else worked. Had to just redo any rule that I had associated with each Activity.

Wasn’t that much of a todo as all I did was went to Smart Apps for each activity and took a screen shot. Then went back those rules and re-added the Activities.

Yep. But, the rules should still be there just not the switches. So when you add the switches back, via the connect app, then just go back to the rules and re-add them.

Be sure to click on the switch, then the Smart App Tab, then take a screenshot of the rules that are associated with that Switch. This makes it easy to go back and re-add the switches by just looking at the screenshots.
