Bloomsky Weather Station

I am talking about the IFTTT channel that keeps disconnecting and the only way I know is by an email lol. I think the disconnect is related to bloomsky changes occurring and IFTTT losing its connection as a result.

Only time I have had to reconnect IFTT was after BS app update a couple months ago.

Same with me; happened once a few months ago. I use IFTTT channels to keep a twitter feed from my Bloomsky.

It has happened to mine at least once more since my last post about this in the past day or so. :confused:

Same here, I just unlinked mine, I wasn’t really using the IFTTT channel for anything.

Then how do you have the latest pic be your phone/ tablet background image ?
I still haven’t had to reconnect IFTTT since the last app update .

Mine has constantly been disconnecting every couple of weeks after the app update. I emailed Bloomsky support they said they are working on it. 2 weeks ago it had disconnected from my wifi, and I haven’t been able to get it to reconnect. It has never been moved since it came from Bloomsky. I brought it indoors tried next to my router with no luck. Last attempt was to delete it and start over still no luck.

I’ve emailed Bloomsky yesterday. Haven’t got a response yet.

I’ve never had any problems with either of mine losing wifi. Only problem is the barometer died on one of them. I’ve emailed BS about it, but have never gotten any replies.

I do need to relocate one of them. Now that the sun is lower in the sky, it is not fully recharging. Either that or the solar panel is dying ( same unit as defective barometer ) Battery never gets above about 25%, Plugged it into A/C charger over night to fully charge battery,Within 3 days it was back down to only 25%

Same here. Not on either of my own two BloomSkys, but one that I support elsewhere did as yours. Working fine for months, sitting in exactly the same spot, and all of a sudden, offline. Tried same steps as you with no luck either.

I was going to get a support case started, but haven’t done it yet. This reminded me. So, thanks. :slight_smile:

I think this tech is still in infancy (sort of like ST and the worlds of IoT & HA, in general, I guess).

Hopefully they will get back to you. Please keep us posted.

Anyone notice that the time-lapse view is missing? October 12 seems to be the last one for every station that I checked.

seeing that now that you mentioned it. However I’m certain I still got push notifications that the time lapse was ready since the 12th.

Okay, I thought it was just me. I never checked any other ones. I got a pop-up yesterday that the one I have been having battery and barometer issues with had low battery. When I saw there were no TL for the past 2 days, I just assumed it had been dead that long. Luckily it is the one that is accessible , so I just plugged in the A/C charger and it immediately started updating. I had not gone looking for and deeper into problems.

Mine stopped working two days ago too…no tl was generated.

I wonder if this isn’t part of the same cloud issues that had my Canaries constantly going offline on 12/13th, DropCam kept dropping and on live view was complaining about my network connection. Hell even ST has been chasing cloud issue for past 2-3 days. Hue delays are back, even with Hue app. My control panels with SmartTiles keep giving me the frowny cloud face and having to be manually refreshed.

That’s it Chicken Little the Sky(net) is falling.

Speaking of Nest products, have had no issues with my 5 Nest in the past 2 weeks…

Since I rarely look at the TL for even my own two BS units, I didn’t even notice until you said something, and I just happened to be here looking in on something else and saw this thread bumped.

Now that I look back in the records, both of mine are missing the TL for Oct. 13, 14 & 15 (i.e. the last TL for either was on the 12th).

Now, it seems to have been fixed, because they both have TL for yesterday, the 16th.
