500: Internal Server Error. How to fix it? (March 2019)

Yep, back online now - no action taken on my end

it is partially working both the classical app and the new one. still unable to load the home security. on both apps.

Used Classic app to repair Z-wave network, rebooted hub. Seems like everything is work - Classic and new app…

I’m having the same issue; I know I have a ā€œghost deviceā€ that resulted from an incomplete inclusion, but I can’t get to my device list to delete it. @Brad_ST could you possibly do the same thing for me that you did for a user above, and delete the corrupt device on your end?

I do have a ticket (959026) but it’s been almost a week and the only communication I’ve gotten just says that the ticket has been passed to someone else. In the meantime, I’m unable to complete my transition from Wink so nothing in my house is working the way it should - very annoying when we’re stuck in the house all day!

Looks like my colleague got to it first. You should be all set.

Thank you SO much! I can confirm I can now see my device list and hub in the IDE and the app.

However, I still have some Zwave devices that show offline, but they are controllable when I actually send a command. I tried running a network repair and got several errors for a device with the network ID 0C, which according to my device list doesn’t exist. I believe that was the network ID for my ghost device. So while it’s not showing up in my device list or in any of the network paths anymore, it still seems to be stuck somewhere in my database and is causing my network repair to fail. Is that something you could look into?

I removed the ā€œghost nodeā€ though it wasn’t likely causing an issue.

Neither of the errors from 0C in the network repair are inherently bad - ā€œCould not assign new routeā€ and ā€œCould not delete old routesā€. JD expands on it here:

The offline devices don’t look like they are reporting all of the states they should be. I would exclude and re-add them.

Hi Brad im having the same issue. When i log into the smartthings website i dont see either of my hub locations, hubs, or smartapps, no issues with both classic and new apps on my phone when it comes to devices and apps. Im trying to update my Rboys app for my smart locks. Not sure why nothing is showing up on the webpage. i usually never have a problem updating the code on the website to update the smartapp. my ticket number is #966148. thanks

Try choosing to sign in with your Samsung account when asked ā€œSign in with Samsung Account OR Sign in with SmartThings Accountā€.

I’m getting the following error:

Oh No! Something Went Wrong!

Error
500: Internal Server Error
URI
/hub/list

I’m seeing this from every call to the /v1/devices endpoint as of 2020-06-11T02:25:00Z. The individual device and status APIs seems to work just fine, but the listing is down. I’ve got some integration scripts that rely on the listing endpoint to detect new devices. I’ve opened a support case, but since those seem to be taking a while thanks to COVID I figured I’d post here as well.

Example request:curl -v -H 'Authorization: Bearer xxxxxxxxxxx' https://api.smartthings.com/v1/devices
Example response: {"requestId":"A7C67B42-58E8-4637-991E-10043198904A","error":{"code":"UnexpectedError","message":"A non-recoverable error condition occurred.","details":[]}}

If I had to guess, I’d say SmartThings uses a different storage system for listings than it does for devices and device statuses and it might be unavailable for some reason. Don’t know if anyone from the community team feels like sharing this much detail, but I’d be interested to hear more about The API’s backend architecture.

EDIT: I should also mention, the status page shows no errors.

@Brad_ST Im having the same issue. Ticket #1150814. Please advise

Based on the logs ā€œecho-speaks-actions.groovyā€ is failing to update as the parent SmartApp of ā€œecho-speaks.groovyā€ is missing. Neither of those will work with SmartThings though.

I’m having the same problem when trying to access ā€œMy Hubsā€, already tried cleaning cache/incognito, I’m signin in using Samsung Account and I only get this error on my hubs, if i click on my devices or anything else there’s no error. Can anyone help please?

I also opened a ticket #1155218 but no answer so far @Brad_ST

A timeout is occurring when trying to load that page. The timeout limit was increased last week but your hub page is still timing out. I’m not sure if there is a device or devices that are causing the timeout but the issue is logged internally as a bug report for further investigation.

I have the same Error 500. Ticket #1176646. I cannot delete my Samsung Home

@gr0mit1 That error indicates a device connected to your hub is still in use. Removing the devices connected to your hub, especially those with child devices, should let you delete the hub.

Please call me ASAP!

I resolved the issue. Everything is fine now.
