Used Smartthing Hub V2, needs version update pushed

I bought a hub ETH250 from eBay and it powers on and I’m able to link it to my smarthings app on my phone, but the status light stays constant blue. The firmware version is 000.025.00032. I don’t see a way to update it and it has been plugged in for several days, reset several times, and even tried to block NTP to help it update. None have worked. I read it a few threads to contact support to have them manually push the update to my device, but cannot find a way to contact them directly. Can anyone help with this? Thanks.

the method for contacting Support is through the app. Tap on Menu and select Contact us.

thanks. I tried that it doesn’t take me anywhere. I also tried the chat option and after waiting 2 hours in line, they told me the chat option was for phones only.

Hi, @agentar9. Welcome to the SmartThings Community!

Have you tried getting the logs with a USB? These are the instructions:

  1. Insert Fat32-formatted USB drive to the USB slot on the back of the hub.
  2. Press and release the reset hole on the back of the hub.
  3. Hub LED will blink magenta while copying logs.
  4. After the Hub LED returns to normal from magenta blinking, extract the USB drive and connect it to a PC.
  5. File name will be “logdump_xxxx.tgz.enc”
  6. Leave a comment in this thread and we’ll send you a direct message (DM).
  7. Then send the package via direct message (DM) to me or build@smartthings.com

The engineering team needs them to investigate further.

I have not gotten them, but will get them today and reply back to thread per your instructions. thanks!

I can’t even get it to do this. When I press the reset button the light continues to stay solid blue, it will not turn magenta. I also tried it when doing a reset (unplugging the cord and holding the button when plugging it back in). The light went from yellow to magenta to red to blue, but it still didn’t write any log files.
