add your tv to samsung connect, then log into smartthings with your samsung account. that is how i fixed it. i’ve had smartthings for years and years and just recently powered my hub back on. glad to see its still in beta like the generation 1 hub.

I think that’s the app on the TV which was never usable. That’s different than the TV being seen as a “thing” in the smartthings app on your phone. Someone who knows more than me should confirm if what I’m saying is correct though.
