Unable to Activate "Notify When Left Behind" Feature in SmartThings App

I am experiencing an issue with the “Notify When Left Behind” feature in the SmartThings app when using my SmartTag 2. Despite multiple troubleshooting attempts, the feature will not turn on.

Issue Details:

  • The toggle for “Notify When Left Behind” does not activate.
  • I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled the SmartThings app.
    • Reset the SmartTag 2.
    • Signed out and back into my SmartThings account.
    • Checked for firmware and app updates.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists.

Device & App Details:

  • SmartTag 2 (Firmware: 0.20.04)
  • SmartThings App Version: [1.8.27.22]
  • Phone Model & UI: [S24 SM-S921B/DS & 6.1 Android 14]

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance or additional troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

From outside no error just the button doesn’t stay on. If I click on
"Notify When Left Behind” i have the error reported in the image attached.
