Hi, everyone. Maybe somobody have integrated Tuya Smart Lock to ST. I have paired accounts but Tuya Lock is jot appearing in ST, as well as ST devices did not appear in Tuya application. Any help or clarification is appriciated.
If the device is a Wi-Fi lock that can be linked to ST via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life cloud->cloud integration, then the vendor is responsible for what device types are supported. I’ve seen some devices that won’t work in ST when used with the Tuya Smart integration, but do work with the Smart Life integration. You might want to give that a try. Otherwise, contact the vendor.
SmartThings devices never show up in Tuya. And only selected Tuya devices will show up in SmartThings.
Open your lock tile in the Tuya. Click on 3 dots in the upper right corner. The top of the page will show any 3rd party integrations such Alexa, Google, SmartThings, IFTTT etc .
There is a partial work around. See attached.
The device is WI-FI
I have a Tuya Wi-Fi lock and it’s only integration is Alexa. It does shows up in Home Assistant but you can’t lock or unlock it.
The worst part is I can’t create a lock or unlock Tap-to-Run automation in Tuya to use the partial integration.
Does the Alexa integration support voice commands for lock/unlock? If so, you can create a virtual lock in ST and then create routines in Alexa that trigger on the virtual lock lock/unlock events and have Custom actions in the routine to issue the commands. I do this with my Schlage Wi-Fi lock at my second house.
It is easy to lock with Alexa. But to get unlock you need a real or simulated voice command that included a pin number.
It works most of the time but is not real reliable.
Yep, custom action that says “Unlock Lock-Name using pin code xxxxxx”
Do I need amazon hub, or only application is enough?
No hub is needed for the partial Tap-to-Run integrations.
Somehow everithing in my Alexa is in Japanese. Also no any device showed after linking with tuya account
You best bet would be to create Tap-to-Run lock and unlock automations in Tuya if the firmware of the lock will permit it. They will show up in ST.
Thanks i will try
