Anyone else experience ST app routines randomly disappearing?
Yes, since the last Hub firmware or the last app update. I got them the same day so I am not sure what caused the problem.
Look in the advanced wed app and see if they are still listed there. If they are hit the disable button then re-enable. That should bring them back.
Thanx!! I will give it a try.
I fortunately made a QR code backup so was able to reinstall. But will look at the advanced web page next time.
I just found a missing Routine that wasn’t in the AWA. A couple days ago I found a missing routine and recreated it only to find the old one still in the AWA. So I guess this is hit or miss.
So, you have created a QR code for every Routine. That would take some time. I have about 500 Routine between 2 locations.
Hi, @z4ib55, @Paul_Oliver
Do the routines that are disappearing from you include a device that is hidden? If so, that could explain why they are not listed.
Otherwise, we should investigate further. I already have other reports about this, so it would be helpful if the workaround mentioned by Paul worked for you, @z4ib55.
We’ve seen the users who reported the issue have a large number of routines, so, if it happens for you as well, the issue could be related to something else.
I have no hidden devices, do that can be ruled out.
Nayelyz
I do not have any hidden routines. And dissappearing routines has happened now on 2 occasions.
For info there are -
15 manual routines
49 automatic routines
17 Smart lighting routines
Hope this helps
Also, are there limits on routines?
I seem to recall that the limit was increased from 200 to 1000 per location a couple years ago.
Ok, and do they disappear only from the general list or also from the one shown in the Device’s details?
Also, a good comparison is checking in the Advanced Users app if they appear there.
You only have one location with 49 automatic Routines, does it mean that the issue doesn’t happen for the other two?
The general list of automatic routines.
Next time, I will employ the Advanced Users app to see if it is still available, and if I can, follow Paul_Oliver’s recommendation to disable/re-enable the routine if it exists.
Routines have not disappeared in Smart lighting or manual routines. And it’s only my v3 Hub that has the issue as my V2 and Aeotec V3 hubs have not had this experience.
Hope this helps.
I have the same problem. I created a routine(Rule?), within a day or two it just completely disappears.
So, I made note of the link on the advanced app, found the routine disappeared a few days later from the Smartthings app.
Link no longer works!
So I too have developed this problem, and the rule / routine that has disappeared is not showing in the Advanced Users webapp so there is no disable / re-enable trick for me to make it reappear. I’ve been recreating (when found) and I thought that had cured the disappearing act for that specific routine, but today I had a recreated routine disappear once again. Has there been a resolution found by anyone? Getting frustrated and wanting to pull my hair out, but apparently my hair has decided to pull the disappearing act also. Arrgh!
Hi, @djmart177, @ChetHammack
Can you provide the following information, please?
- Routine name if you remember it
- Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM
- Enable support access to your account:
- Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select Menu (â‹®) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.
See more information about this access here: https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us/articles/36170233944852-Enabling-Account-Data-Access-for-Support
Yes, everything was fine in the morning, suddenly in the afternoon I got some strange notification and when I opened the app, 70% of my devices are missing and routines are disabled. This is very annoying.
This seems like a different issue. There have been no reports of devices disappearing. The AWS servers have been experiencing issues today, so, it might be impacting the information retrieved (I don’t have details about this since we’re not part of Customer Support, I suggest you contact them as well if this isn’t solved).
Several tools have been impacted by this. Here’s the announcement about the status: https://health.aws.amazon.com/health/status
Hi,
I have a current case on this 308410071

I’ve started having odd problems with SmartThings in the last two or so hours.
Routines have not disappeared but many of them are briefly showing in the app with a white exclamation point in a red circle in the upper right corner of the routine tile. It’s happened twice so far and lasts a couple of minutes.
Not sure if it’s related but I’ve got four Matter-over-Wi-Fi devices and cannot control them via the SmartThings app. Two of them are Leviton dimmers and are controllable via the My Leviton app. Status changes done via the My Leviton app are not reflected in the SmartThings app.
