Earlier last month I had some trouble with SONOS devices in “rooms” causing app crashes every time I tried to call up a room and view the devices therein. Support said this was a known issue and they would need to remove all my rooms (I could not due to crashing). They did and the problem seemed res…

I’m willing to give it another shot. Interesting idea about reserving the ip addresses - have not tried that. Do you have the boost? I wonder if that will complicate things. The ip addresses for the devices do show up on my lan tho.

[image] adsavia: Do you have the boost? I have the bridge - I had sonos long before I had ST - I know the bridge is not necessary anymore, but I figure why remove it if everything works. [image] adsavia: Interesting idea about reserving the ip addresses - have not tried that. If you d…

I’ll give it a whirl and report back in a week or so if I remember to do so. Makes sense as to why it would mess things up. I wonder if the devices disconnect from the lan when the playing stops - maybe after a period of time they go to “sleep” or something. Thanks for the idea!!

@adsavia Please do report back. Obviously, no one wants to drop a bunch of money and time on something that truly doesn’t work.

I have 2 and they are both working well for me. I have given them both DHCP reservation on my router (fixed IP address) or whatever you want to call it!!! Besides playing music through the app on my phone, I have integrated them with ST so they play announcements when we arrive home, motion in hou…

I hear you! Although for me SONOS is awesome on it’s own which is why I haven’t been too focused this. I did have it set up at one point when our basement door was opened dogs started barking… that was kind of cool when it worked but drove my wife crazy. I also own an echo and Ama…

So, does anyone here have > 3 Sonos devices connected? That seemed to be the point where things would start to fall apart before.

I tried to add a few sonos speakers back in but no go. System still too unstable. Really disappointed. Waiting to see what Amazon Echo integration brings.

I have 3 Sonos speakers - all with reserved IP addresses. My ST integration has been very stable - over the last 2-3 years, I have had only a few instances where I needed to reconnect them.

@infofiend hope you don’t plan on buying another Sonos. Static IP’s or not, your entire ZWave network will slowly fall apart when you do. Pretty sad this has been a known bug for over a year now, and no one from ST seems to be working on it still.
