I have a Sonoff TH16 that is linked in ST using the eWink integration (meaning no flashing). It shows up fine but the temperature shows in Celsius. I’ve tried a couple different data handlers but they all seem to show in (C). Is there a custom DH or something I can use for this without having to go the Tasmota flashing route? Fyi - I’m only using the temp sensor and not the switching functionality. Ideally it would be great if the temp would show as Fahrenheit and be visible on the ST icon.
Appreciate any and all thoughts here.
Thanks.
Report the issue to ST support. There is a similar thread but with automations so probably related.
Just curious if you ever got this working? I have a similar situation where I’m just trying to use a TH16 to monitor temperatures in my sauna but I can’t get it to show the temp in Fahrenheit.
I ended up flashing the device with Tasmota and everything just worked. It wasn’t as difficult as I had feared. The device is offline right now since my pool is closed, so I can’t really check it. Since then I’ve flashed a few devices with tasmota. Tons of info online. You’ll need a usb device, many on Amazon and very cheap. It’s been too long to remember which how to I used, but I’m sure if you search Sonoff TH16 tasmota flash you’ll find what you need. Full disclosure: I’m in the process of setting up Home Assistant and plan to migrate off of SmartThings. Good luck.
Ah, okay. I’ve been looking into Tasmota and was hesitant to go that route, but it’s seeming less and less like a big deal. I think I’ll give it a shot. I’ve also been experimenting with Home Assistant. I’m not sure if I’m ready to make the full switch yet but it does seem promising. Thanks for the quick reply and push I needed to take the leap. Cheers!
