Well what do you know–just like last year, my Google voice text notifications from Smartthings are suddenly working again as of 8/18/25–hopefully all of yours come back too!
I just ran a test and my Google Voice is also receiving SmartThings text messages.
FWIW, mine stopped working again–last text from smartthings to google voice received 9/17/25 . . . hopefully it’s just a brief outage again like last time….
I figured out that messages sent from SmartThings don’t get through if your number is with a sip provider instead of a regular mobile carrier. For me, switching to a number backed by a mobile network solved it. Seems like some sip provider numbers aren’t whitelisted for automated SMS from platforms like SmartThings, maybe because of how they handle carrier routing.
