Hello, all. I’ve had the SmartThings Wifi 3 pack for two years with no problems. Within the past week I noticed that both of the secondary hubs had flashing red lights. The main hub showed solid green as usual. I rebooted both secondary hubs and when they came back online they both showed solid green but the next day both were flashing red again. A quick google search indicated that overheating may be the cause so I left them both unplugged overnight though they didn’t feel overly hot. Again once they came back online they showed green for a day or two and now flashing red again.
In the Plume app I can see devices are still connected to them so they seem to be functioning normally for wifi though not sure about the Zwave/Zigbee network.
I also saw another post here that there was a recent firmware update. I thought that may be the problem since it happened at around the time I noticed the red lights though honestly I don’t look at the secondary hubs often since they are tucked away at corners of the house.
Anyone else have this problem or know what could be the root cause?
As mentioned, during the firmware update you might experience the devices still connected to the network, while noticing the LEDs flash red.
It was released on October 18 to be cascaded through October 19th. However, It has been marked on the status page (https://status.smartthings.com/) Completed - Hub firmware version 0.38.11 has been released to the aforementioned hub models.
If the symptom persists and the LEDs continue to flash red, I would recommend creating a Support ticket and submitting your Hub’s logs so we can look into your concerns further.

@SamsungZell – thanks for the response. The lights are still flashing red so I’ve taken your advice and emailed support. I will respond here if there is any info to provide.
