SmartThings iOS App Update 1.7.19 (July 31, 2024)

new update available

Is there a change log. Initially at least I can’t see any changes.

Same notes in the App Store as the previous two revisions this month. I would guess this release includes patches. How do apps generally phrase it - they found a bug and fixed it or we made improvements to enhance the user experience. I like - we made changes under the hood.

Where I am, Manage Hubs from the Favourites page (top RH 3 dots) now seems to make sense. Before it wasn’t responding.

Oh, lovely!

After updating, the Home Monitor failed to load on the ‘Favorites’ screen. I had to completely close the app (“throw it up,” as I like to say on iOS) and then it initialized upon re-opening the app.

I wonder if anything else is broken?

Edit: release notes said, “Device tab experience has been improved” and it has! Now when scrolling up, the rooms change color, but remain at the top of screen.

Still have not fixed the issue with being unable to connect to certain linked services, such as ecobee. Hope this gets fixed at some point!!

Have you reached out to ST support to report the issue? What is the default browser on your iPhone set to?

I have not reached out to support. There is a different thread specific to the issues with ecobee (though I am also experiencing something similar with Rachio as well) so I kind of thought it was a known issue. You know, one of those assume someone else will tell them type things? :slight_smile:

I have Safari set as the default browser. Interesting question. You think something else would work to get past this?

Changing the default browser most likely would have no impact but give it a test.

Do report it to ST support. The more who report it is always a good thing. They may also give you details on the issue such as whether it is a known issue and they are working to resolve it. Or you may just get the run-around :;

I cannot connect to my devices added on iPad.
