SmartThings in app 'Help' confusion

OMG, I figured that I would use the in app ‘Help’ to ‘Ask a Question’ about a feature/setting in the SmartThings app, but I entered another world of the Samsung twilight zone because they apparently do not support asking questions about the SmartThings app itself using the in app Help/Ask a Question. I was just asking about the SmartThings Wallpaper feature, but I got this response instead which just made me laugh. (one eye opened)

According to the response, the in app Help/Ask a Question is apparently just for ‘Devices’ support.

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Samsung SmartThings Support,

I am sorry to inform you that we support devices including a SmartThings Hub, SmartThings Link, or Samsung Connect Home as a Hub.

I request you to reach out to our team of Product Support at Support Home | Official Samsung Support US. Please call 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) for technical support. They are much better equipped to assist you with this particular issue as they are much more familiar with your product.

If you do have any questions pertaining to https://www.smartthings.com/ in the future, I would be more than happy to assist.

Kind regards

If you’re curious, I was just asking about a Wallpaper mode for Samsung Amoled displays. Right now, I’m setting the wallpaper to the lightest color available (the last one), and with Android in night mode, it makes the SmartThings app look dark, but not black. I’d like Amoled black, not just dark, and not just because I have my Android in night mode.

I can’t imagine asking Samsung Product Support about the SmartThings app is going to help much. I guess they might have completely misunderstood the question.

It is, though, somewhat ridiculous that the SmartThings app doesn’t include itself in a list of ‘devices’ you might possibly be asking about. I suppose it comes under ‘Other’ but that is a bit ridiculous.

On the plus side, you got a response. Try that in the UK with ‘Error Reports’ or ‘Ask A Question’ and that is the last you’ll hear of of your query. You may get to wave at it in the list of previous queries but that is about it. ‘Call Customer Service’ is a belter too. That’ll take you to the Customer Numbers page where you are told ‘Customer Numbers is not valid for this service’. E-mail to ‘support@smartthings.co.uk’ does create a ticket for you, but the app doesn’t seem to mention that anywhere obvious. So the one thing the ‘Contact us’ link doesn’t do is let you contact anybody.
