SmartThings, DSC Alarm, EnvisaLink4

What would be the best / easiest way to get an Honeywell Vista20p panel with envisalink4 to connect to smarthings? I have seen a lot of posts using a raspberry Pi but my knowledge is very limited. I have toyed around with having an email sent from Envisalink to my Gmail, then having another service run a webhook depending on the label the message was giving, linking the webhook service with IFTTT which was linked with smartthings and turn lights on and off depending on the alarm status. This process was long and and was slow to respond if at all sometimes. My other option was to just get a whole new system. I don’t really want to do that option as the Vista system seems rock solid just out dated, plus I don’t want to fork out the extra cash for a new system. Any Ideas?

Good question. I have a Vista20P with Envisalink4 at my summer home and it works great. I have done a lot of reading and research and now want to setup home security at my main home. From what I am reading you can skip the Vista20P route and just get home assistant and smartthings and a bunch of sensors. Is that how you understand it?
Thanks

A lot has changed for me. No longer using Smarthings. I have gone over to Home assistant. Using zigbee sensors for motion and contact sensors works really good. If you still want Honeywell and using an Evesalink home assistant has an integration for it. I haven’t checked it out but should be what you’re looking for.
