I have downloaded the smartthings app on a google pixel and cannot sign into my account or my wife’s.
Everytime I click sign in it opens a webpage for login, but then just reopens the app without signing in. It’s just an endless circle of trying to log in without any success
The log in details are correct, I’ve tried deleting my cookies, restarting phone, uninstall and reinstalling the app. No luck
Try changing the set default browser on the phone. So if Chrome is set as the default… download/install MS Edge and set it as the default browser and see if login works in the ST app for you. If it works, you can change the default browser back to Chrome if you choose.
I’ve tried this fix and it doesn’t work for me. While it lets me type in my user and password it takes me back to the home screen without logging in. Back to the same loop.
Same, I’ve tried Edge and Firefox instead of Chrome and it goes around in loop. Absolutely driving me nuts and definitely a sign to never get another Samsung products!
brand/model of phone? If a Galaxy device, Did you try downloading from Google Store and/or Samsung Galaxy Store to see if one or the other might work on your phone?
Same. Tried also Samsung internet browser but I got same result. This problem is present already for a couple of few months. Unfortunately will uninstall the app and use other alternative.
It didn’t work for me. I tried changing the default browser to Edge, I get the same loop issue. It seems like the login in the app is only possible via a web browser and the connection fails. I disconnected the Google login and changed to a email/pass standard login and yet - same result.
I changed back from Edge to Chrome and no result - the login loop continues.
But I only have my phone to use. Eveything in my account is OK - I login fine there on my phone and desktop. BUT when I open the phone app and try to login, it loops, all browsers I tried.
