What’s the point of making Smart Things Find if it barely works? If you lose a earbud, case, or watch you’d be lucky to find them. This is one area that Apple has a big advantage over Samsung. It’s terrible!!!
Mine work okay and have been accurate. How are yours not working?
I experienced a major problem with this today as well. I had just been using my phone and knew it was in the house. Samsung SmartThings find was unable to connect to the phone and it stated that it was not connected to a network. I found the phone a few minutes later. It was connected to both the cellular data and the wi-fi. I understand that some people will say that hey it’s a free product. No it is not. We spend a lot of money to purchase the device and all of these types of services come at the cost of our data privacy. So we are paying a steep cost indeed for a service that does not work reliably. This is unacceptable Samsung. This coupled with the near criminal misrepresentation of the s22’s battery life, this may be my last Samsung device.
As a side note, their support is terrible. I placed an order on the Samsung website for a charging pack. I had a simple problem that the order was not appearing under my account. I got transferred around for 3 hours before someone finally figured out that I needed to talk to order support. They were unable to transfer me there. After wasting my entire evening with them, I decided that I wasn’t going to let them out of it so easily. I simply refuse to close the support ticket while the support rep went nuts because his handle time was going to cause some serious red flags. That one managed to transfer me without my consent. I took pity on the next guy, mainly because he made a very well veiled threat to remote into my device. I was rather impressed with that level of decisiveness coming from their support team. I then close the ticket and gave him a good survey rating. If you’re going to threaten somebody, do it well and ensure that you can claim it was a miscommunication. This guy obviously understood the assignment.
