Thanks. I guess we’ll see if the hot fix helps.
Glad I came across this thread. This issue has hit me since returning from vacation last Monday. My v3 ST Hub is on firmware 54.14 and my locks are experiencing this offline / online behavior 3 to 4 times a day.
Please post any fixes you may be provided so that i can give it a try also.
54.14? That means you’re the first to get the hotfix. And that also means the hotfix doesn’t fix the issue.
Well that is interesting… The offline / online issue only happened once today, and I don’t know when exactly I received the hotfix. So there is a chance I received the hotfix AFTER the issue occurrence earlier today. I will keep an eye on it and see if it happens again, and I will post to this thread with an update either way. Bottomline, the hotfix may or may not have solved the issue.
Thanks for the reply
Each of my FE599 locks are falling offline 6-8x/day and locks take 3-5 attempts before I can manually set a code on each of my hubs that have been upgraded to 54.13. Will be curious to know which arrives first: this hot fix or the HomeAssistant Green hub (Home Assistant Green - Home Assistant) I’ve been researching as an alternative plan B solution going forward.
Looks like you have to sign up for beta to get it
54.14 hot fix
As far as have noticed, I have not had a reoccurrence of the offline / online issue since I posted yesterday. Yes I am on firmware 54.14, an No I am not on the Beta channel. Maybe the hotfix is working after all?
Thanks for the update. I was going off of the statement made that the update was only for people in the beta program. Thanks for clearing that up. I have had at least 20 offline notices since you last posted but am still on 54.13.
I just received the email advising of the hotfix release. It says it will be spread out over a week. Is there any way to force my hub to D/L the new release sooner rather than later?
Okay my last posting may have been premature…
Since posting about being on 54.14 already, my LAN devices (Sonos & Bond using edge driver) all showed offline for a bit, only to return just fine when the Routines were invoked. They have remained solid since.
Then my locks would individually go offline only to return. And this morning all my locks and 2 Aeotec Repeaters went offline only to return a bit later. I don’t know if this behavior can be attributed to the network rebuilding itself, or if this behavior is just more of the same while on the 54.13 firmware.
Keeping my fingers crossed with the announcement of 54.14 rolling out to hubs starting today that this does address the issue with our favorite FE599 locks.
I did end up requesting sign up of my test hub into the beta channel, but as others have pointed out that may not happen until the next major release anyway, making it a potential nonstarter.
I have the same problem. Finally gave up. Ordered from Home Depot online Schlage wi-fi lever lock for $229. When you buy the lock from Home Depot, you take it into Home Depot and they will key the lock to your house key.
.’ve been using the Wi-Fi lock now for approximately two weeks and it is solid. I wish I would’ve gotten this much sooner rather than fighting with SMARTTHINGS and my Schlage z-wave lever lock. It’s a shame that SMARTTHINGS has to mess around with a “what was“ a solid product. They’re moved to edge drivers seems to be the biggest mistake ever.
Based on SMARTTHINGS continuing to mess up their application, I certainly will never buy any Z wave items For SMARTTHINGS use again.
What is interesting with the Z wave lock when you push the button on the back of the lock to lock it instantaneously SMARTTHINGS will notify you that the lock is unlocked. When you push the lock button again, instantaneously, the SmartThings app tells you that the lock is locked. Makes no sense to me as to how the application understands the manual lock status, but will not work to function in a remote control situation.
Where did you get that screen shot from? In the past I was able to log on to a site on the computer and see all the tech info for my smartthings. All the devices and information. Everything was working as it should so I haven’t needed to fool with anything for a couple years. Now with the smartlock not working correctly, I tried to find that site online but I can’t find it anywhere. Was it Github or IDE or Graph something?
The IDE a retired about a year ago. You can see information about your ST devices, hubs, etc. on the ST Advanced Web App. There is also the community developed ST API Browser+ which has additional info beyond the AWA.
I just got 54.14. I am not part of beta. I will keep my fingers crossed to see if I have any luck with the Schlage Z wave Lever Door Lock FE599NX. I will post an update later tonight
Just got my first offline 2 hrs after hub was updated to new firmware. So it looks like it’s not fixed.
FYI —> Version .14 did not fix my FE559 Schlage Lock. Still goes online/offline all day. Can’t lock or unlock remotely. If I use the physical lock / unlock buttons on the lock I get instant notice from app as to current status. But still unable to access lock remotely.
I also received the update and the online/offline continues
Same here….update didn’t fix problem
Not sure where to go now
