Reminding you:

Two problems are missing:

  1. increase the transition of oflline time, so we wonā€™t receive false offline states from zigbee devices that works on battery, that didnā€™t report status within 2 hours. I prefer 10 hours.
  2. Bring back HTML in custom capabilities edge driver to app as requested by @w35l3y here:[Feature Request] Allowing HTML in Custom Capabilities

App update (not hub). Please allow to choose language of the app. So, mobile phone can be 1st language and app will be other language.

This might explain why none of my matter devices are coming back online after some power outages. Cant for the life of me get them working. Also a load of Zigbee sockets keep dropping offline for no reason. Hopefully this sorts it

No, but a ā€˜rare issueā€™ being mentioned in brief release notes suggests it affected something pretty fundamental rather than something obscure. It could even be something as basic as encountering improbably long device names when onboarding.

Iā€™m having the same issue and find turning of sharing for the matter device allows SmartThings to pick it up. I cancel the request but it comes back on line

Hopefully this will fix my problem with getting a 500 when installing some Edge drivers

There are several of us that started having this problem

Wish there was a way to force the update.

How long does it nomrally take for the update to get pushed to everyone?

Iā€™m trying to sort how patient I need to be. My hub is currently almost as useful as a frisbee, but have been told that this .14 hotfix will fix my issues.

My concern is that my hub has a hard time responding to the internet. It always says it is ā€œonlineā€, but all other indications point to limitied or no connectivity (on and off). If it is in one of these ā€œzombieā€ states when Samsung tries to push an update to it and it fails, how does one proceed to force an update?

nothing you can do

The announcement says itā€™s scheduled for November 4 through November 11. So more than a week.

It did NOT fix my problemā€¦ ugh

Aoetec Hub went offline and solid blue light around 11am today. Have tried several reboots since of both modem and hub. Still at solid blue light. I dont want to do factory reset as ill have to add all devices again.

you can try a soft reset:

soft factory reset by following these directions:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the Hub
  • if using Ethernet, leave it connected
  • Using a pin or a small tool, press into the reset slot on the back of the Hub
  • While continuing to press the pin in the slot, replace the power cable
  • When the LED on the front starts flashing yellow, release the pin from the reset slot

Tried that. It went back to solid blue.

next - you may want to try switching from Ethernet to Wifi or from Wifi to Ethernet - depends on which you are using

Thanks jkp. I tried the soft reset again and if went purple, flashing yellow, blue and finally green. So the hub is back online with the latest version of firmware installed. Most of my devices appead offline so ill likely have to readd them individually.

Fyi, Hotfix 54.14 did not fix the offline/online issue people started experiencing with 54.13.

Iā€™m wondering if my hub will actually be able to recieve the update. My hub usually stays ā€œonlineā€, however, about an hour after I reboot the hub, it goes unresponsive. Unable to ping via ST/advanced or control any devices. If I reboot it works great for another hour or so.

This behavior makes me wonder if it will miss all the attempted firmware update pushes.
