Hi I own a Ring Video Doorbell and would love to get it integrated into my Smartthings set up

I’ve had the power cut in my house / unplugged the Chime multiple times and it has generally been absolutely fine. Your idea should work.

I have my chime connected to a smart plug so it turns off when my baby goes for naps (triggered by putting on the Sonos speaker in the nursery for white noise) and it works fine. The chime reconnects to the WiFi within seconds of the plug being switched back on. Although having a chime is rather red…

Use a refurbished fire hd 8 from woot and either WebCoRe or Lannouncer. But the chime will do sounds for you as well.

Marc, They all come with 4 changeable faceplates: Silver, White, Black and, yes, BRONZE.

[image] DParker: Why would it be? They did it to Blink when they bought them - turn off ST support with immediate effect.

Blink was never officially supported. Blink took that action prior to the Amazon acquisition. Blink had already done something like that previously, so it wasn’t a new thing for them. I’ll worry when Alexa is no longer integrated with ST.
