Removing and replacing smartthings sensors

Hi,

I live in a rental and am putting up a multipurpose sensor for security. As I’ll inevitably move at some point, how would I go about removing the sensor from the door, and how would I be able to reuse it?

You get a roll of 3M double sided tape and fix with that. The original package has a set of double sided stickers to do it.

Or you fix it with screws, but I guess it is not an option at a rented property.

Until you move the hub and the sensor together you don’t need to worry to delete from your account as it will work the same way in your new place as well.

3M Command Strips work very well for installing devices that you’ll eventually want to remove without damaging the finish the of wall/door.
