Did you perform a z-wave repair from the hub?
Iâve repaired it multiple times. I even removed it from the system entirely and added it back.
Bring the opener closer to the dimmer, does it get more reliable? if so, then get a smart plug or some other z-wave device and put it between the dimmer and the door openers resting location, if at all possible of course. The neat thing with the wall wart outlets, you can put them ON an extension cord and put them wherever youâd like! This is not recommended as Iâm sure it might not mesh with the NECâŚ
I installed the lowes brand opener last week and a few things:
- If the door status is unknown mine wonât beep or do anything
- Check if your tilt sensorâs battery contact is put on properly
- Depending on the number of walls and material int he walls in between your hum and the garage even with a repeater you might not get a signal into the garage unless a repeater is on the same wall
Iâll try moving it and seeing if that helps.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I received my replacement Iris Z wave garage door opener today. I followed all of the âincredibly importantâ steps, just like the first time. I got it up and running in 10 minutes with no issues. I believe my first one came with a faulty tilt sensor. One byproduct of having a faulty one the first time, was that I got my second one for ten dollars cheaper. The price went down in the interim. I paid $49.83 on Amazon. I felt a little obligated to let you guys know since I was the one that started this thread!
I am glad to hear. I had a frustrating time with mine as well, and read your post as I was troubleshooting my issue. I posted about mine in a thread regarding z-wave network repair, since the repair would not work with the addition of my first controller. I ended up having to remove and exclude it and re-add it before it worked. The second one worked immediately. Cheers!
Thanks for post. I was able to setup everything in one go. This has been so helpful
Thanks for the all the info everyone who has contributed to this thread! I just installed it and it mostly works as expected, but I have a few questions -
Does anyone else have any issues with the unit updating status? I only seem to get status updates as to what is happening with it when I click the refresh button. If Iâm closing the garage door via the app it doesnât seem to update the status as âclosedâ again until I hit refresh.
My system just beeps but doesnât open/close the door. Any solution to resolve this issue? My previous Evolve LFM-20 worked fine.
Thanks
Seriously? How many threads are you going to post the exact same question in?
Iâm having a different issue than whatâs been described in this thread. Iâm having an issue where the device is working properly once. Iâve got it wired up, and it shows me everything correctly when opened and closed in the app, while opening and closing with the button, or wireless remotes, but the minute I open it from the app, it effectively kills power to the wired push button, and the app no longer controls either. Wireless remotes continue to work fine.
There are three terminals on my access master opener. The push button and iris controller are connected to the 1st and 2nd terminals (red and white) and the eye sensors are connected to the 2nd and 3rd. Thoughts?
