I have a very simple routine which requests that status is set to Home when the sensor is detected.
It will not work though. The sensor is definitely being found by the hub and the status prior to the sensor arriving is definitely Away.
What am I doing wrong?
There isn’t anything called “status“ on the SmartThings platform that you can set. So you probably mean either location.mode or security.mode . Both of those have a value called “home.“
Can you post a screenshot of the rule that you set up that isn’t working? That would help a lot.
Also, what version of the smartthings hub do you have?
