I have noted that a couple of my Osram bulbs turn on at random times throughout the day. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution? Thanks in advance!
Is the firmware of the bulbs up-to-date? Do you have OTA enabled for lighting?
Aside from firmware, are any routines, smart apps, or presence sensor associated with the light. If this is the case, you will need to see if these are activating “randomly” (usually based on some false indication from the activating events).
this is “normal” for these devices on ST. It goes in waves where it will happen a few times a day for a week, then they will behave for 6 weeks or so. I have an open ticket with ST, they say it is a backend issue.
How to enable OTA for the bulbs?
In the instructions , where it says Log in to graph.api.smartthings.com, instead login to https://account.smartthings.com
I gave up on Osram from this issue and switched over to Sengled and am much happier. I think I still have 1 or 2 that are Osram but the minute they act up they are gone. I spent too much time hassling with them compared to the Sengled that are almost always on sale for like 6-7.
EDIT: Fixed a bunch of auto correct
I will add the better your zigbee mesh, the less this happens. it seems to happen more, with the more the devices is relied upon as a repeater
I’m experiencing this several times a day…any resolution?
Same issue here.
It s driving me crazy.
All firmwares are up to date.
Any clue ?
I have the same issue with 2 of my older lightify led strips (not the 1 newer one) where for a while they will come on randomly. I also have the latest firmware and the only temporary resolution I have is to unplug the LED strips for a few days and when I plug them back in they start working correctly (for a while). Unfortunately I don’t have a hub to check/upgrade firmware…
Also, they had announced that they will be taking the lightly servers offline 8/31/2021.
