Doing my frequent scan on Nest Protects being available through Google Home - I noticed several users on Reddit using the Public Preview of Google Home have reported their Nest Protects are beginning to show. I wonder if that means they might be available through the ST integration at some point. I enabled Public Preview so stay tuned. Public Preview can take up to a day to update.
Not showing for me yet. I’m already in the Public Preview.

ohhh nice, Strangely, I don’t see any of my 12 Nest Protect smoke detectors in the Google Home App, it is probably because it has not yet been rolled out in Europe, or am I wrong?
My Protects have not appeared yet as well (US). I expect this is going to be an extremely long roll out to those who have enabled Public Preview in GH. When it will be available to everyone is anyone’s guess at this point.

Unknown as to whether they will be shared with ST through GH at some point.

I want to share my experience here in case it may help someone else.
I have been in the Google Home Public Preview for as long as it’s been available. I have ten cameras in the app. Some were added new to the Google Home app and some were converted over from the Nest app. Until a few weeks ago, everything worked well in the Google Home app for me.
My recent experience has been constant freezing and crashing of the Google Home app both on my iPhone and iPad. This is happening on every launch of the app, without fail. I have been working with Google on this but it’s slow with no resolution yet. I have shared videos with them and I am going around in circles a little. In the process of troubleshooting, they asked me to enable Public Preview. Well, I have had it enabled for a long time so I tried disabling and enabling, and what I discovered in the process is the app is working fine with Public Preview OFF. This is 100% recreatable. So, my latest thought is it may actually be the app trying to load my eight Nest Protects (when in Public Preview mode) that is the problem. To this point, with Public Preview on, my Protects have not shown up in the app. I have updated Google Support and I’m waiting for a reply.
Of course, this could simply be just my account that has issues. But I thought I’d share should anyone else be having their app freezing and crashing.

I also still have not seen any of my nest devices. Reading into the public preview it was going to be rolled out to Android users first - i have both Android and iOS and neither show them!
I too have 8 nest protect alarms - can anyone with lots of alarms say theirs have migrated over or just a small batch of them?

Yep I too am still waiting for my Nest Protects to show up in my Google Home (iOS).
Also on iOS and obviously haven’t seen them yet. But they are available as triggers for automations. If you set one, it doesn’t actually do anything, but it’s interesting that they are there. So even the iOS app can kind of see them.
