New Brands/Devices available on the SmartThings Platform

I am a new Smartthings user and I tried the integration a month ago via the classic app and it didn’t work. Then I tried with the new application and managed to integrate it even if nothing worked. I had multiple accounts connected so I tried to redo multiple connections but none was successful. I tried to cancel the balance and redo the pairing procedure with smartthings, but nothing, for two weeks I have not been able to. I finally tried again today and Withings disappeared from the brands of devise supported. Withings’ assistance is minimal, he doesn’t know what they are doing, he tells me that everything should work well

It’s looking like there isn’t a beta process at all for integrating with SmartThings. They have documented how to test using your developer account, but that’s it. Smart Dry ran their open beta using the public catalog, i’m guessing because there wasn’t another option. ST needs some way to beta test like Alexa does for skills. The company can send you a private link to install a beta skill.

Juno has morphed into Juno AI and Juno Connect

It looks like Juno AI is for their WiFi lights and Juno Connect is for their bluetooth/zigbee wafer light. The later is the model they collaborated with SmartThings on.

AI Power Manager has morphed into two AI Power Managers. I bet that will change

 It looks like one has the cloud integration and z-wave device. The other has zigbee devices. Kinda curious why companies are splitting out like this. Hue and Sengled have hub connected and cloud connected devices all under a single brand. Maybe some docs need updating or better communication to the devs.

Smartenit has been added (zigbee range extender)

It’s also possible the integrations are coming from two different development teams. In some cases, they may even have different authentication credentials for the end customer.

What a mess. New ewelink is for an “sma”. Some kind of zigbee device.

When I went to add a device and choose Smart Life, I saw “Compatible but not certified in Australia” (I’m in Australia BTW). But it’s still listed. Then I proceed, and it asked me to login, and I was prompted to choose Tuya or Smart Life or Globe Suite. I chose Smart Life. The it asked me for a location and room, which I selected, and clicked “Next”.

After about 3 seconds, it said “Couldn’t add device. A network or server error occurred. Try again later.” I didn’t get to the point of choosing a device to add (I assume that is supposed to happen next).

The same thing happened here.

These cloud integrations always seem to go live before they are fully ready. I’d give it a day or so and then try again.

Another thing you can try… go to menu > settings > linked services > smart life and go through the setup once more. It might sync up items.

With that said, there is a thread on smart life which may be better for posting …
