I just opened my Aeotec Motion Sensor. I have a couple TriSensor 8s, which have screws or adhesive for their mounts. The Motion Sensor only has adhesive. I had planned to put it on my porch, but my house has rough cedar siding, so the adhesive won’t work. I’m thinking of stapling a small piece of cardboard to the wall as a surface where the adhesive can stick. Any suggestions?

I use the hook and loop connectors (Velcro.) I apply one to the sensor and staple one to the wall, making sure I have one hook and one loop facing each other for attachment. This way no connection is permanent, save the staple holes. The connectors are designed to be removed without leaving a mark. So far, so good. Hope that helps.
