Use the following link to integrate SmartLife with SmartThings. No Tuya hub is needed.
Hi
I know this is an old thread but I have tried the baove workaround and still cannot see any of the smartlife devices or ‘tap to run’ automations to show up in smarthings.
Anyone else have this issue still?
John, have you linked your SmartThings and SmartLife accounts? To do that go to the Smartthings App, chose add device, by brand and chose Tuya (not SmartLife). This should link your accounts and bring over all scenes (tap-to-runs) and any devices that have SmartThings integrations.
Hi Paul,
Yes I followed the above but I can’t even see the scenes I created in the Smartlife App when I link the integration Via Tuya
Have you looked in “No Room Assigned” in Smartthings? I can’t think of anything else.
Hi, can’t connect my smartLife accout to smartthing, tried to link both smart life and tuya but always get an error Invalid username/password
Hi Paul,
Yes I have…so frustrating.
BUT
Playing with a new method:
I have created and imported a scene from SmartLife into Alexa which turns off a socket connected to the washing machine once the vlotage has dropped below a certain watage. I now would like Alexa to announce that when the scene runs she will say Washing has finished (or along those lines). I can’t figure out how to do this…routines trigger scenes but scenes can’t trigger routines. Am i missing something obvious here?
Thanks
In Alexa you need a contact sensor, motion sensor, lock, or door bell to trigger Alexa routines. Scenes, switches, plugs and lights don’t work.
Have you tried Google Home. No hardware is needed, just an account. Tuya switches, plugs, lights, can trigger Google Home routines. Scenes are NOT triggers in Google Home. Then a Google home routine can be used to trigger an Alexa switch created in ST.
Kind of convoluted, but it might work.
I have no problems, but when I added my devices in the ST app, I added them as Smart Life, not Tuya. The result was some compatible devices were added, and my “tap to run” scenes were added as switches.
Hi, No not tried Google Home but will explore that - thanks
No luck here - I was hoping as stated by many users that the scences would import but nothing
I have tried and it tells me “The page you are looking for can’t be found”. Same thing happens when I try to link a Tuya hub or account to ST. Anyone knows anything about it, please? Thanks in advance.
I just set up a Test location and linked my SmartThings and SmartLife accounts with no problems.
In the SmartThings app go to + sign (at top of on Favorites or Devices pages), select Add Device, select Partner Devices, select SmartLife and then follow the prompts.
